Thread: Incoming transfers?

Didn't Portsmouth sign a dozen or more players before the start of last season? And look where they finished up.

Following the comments here….of course it is totally unrealistic to think a whole host of new players are going to gel quickly, however, isn’t that just as likely to be who the manager is and what the style, tactics are and if he is a good fit to the players? Both collectively and individually.

The usual Evans “pick n mix” approach at it again. Because that’s all he knows, short term fixing attempt. Short as in one season.
IF promotion was attained, this or any other season, just how many would figure in the champs next season? Or be good enough?
    Or be young enough?

Another 30 and plus 30 player, lauded as one who plays ten years younger. And another who played less than half a season.
This one supposedly a midfield anchor man. Can’t anchor much in the treatment room. Key player?

The vast majority of fans were rightly sick of the treatment room brigade last season. Which is bad management.
We all castigated Taylor for it, or anyone else involved.
Look at the signings so far, the ages, number of games played Vs seasons.
Yet again, “too much has done” PR guff about the signings….just how much did these players contribute individually to any success?
We don’t know that. With numbers of games played, only Raggett comes close to looking likely.

    Free transfer Evans.

Geliing?…….give it till about January, then we will know with departures and loans. That’s the Evans way.
    That’s what he does.

Well I was positive when I woke up but having read that…..
You reckon only Raggett comes close. What about Rafferty who also featured prominently for Portsmouth, JCH top scorer for 2 seasons and also double figures last season when frozen out? SE has re-ignited my desire sorry yours is still a damp squib.

Me too Pip I’m feeling really positive and it’s all down to Evans I never took to Taylor and same with Richardson although in his case I think he was a bit of a scapegoat but neither helped themselves MT was bordering on arrogant talked a good game bit reminds me of Stubbs when he was here
Can’t wait for season to start whereas last year I dreaded going

I wouldn't have renewed my season ticket had Richardson remained in charge.

Why are you not positive anymore? Whatever anyone says, if you know you are right it shouldn’t make any difference.
Of course, add JCH to SR. Service to him would be the key.

Evans said he wanted to lower the age of the squad…..?!

This is just a whinge from top to bottom, some of which is baseless nonsense.

You could have just posted "I don't like Steve Evans" and saved yourself some time.
