Are people listening to Boris? From what I have witnessed I would say its a mixed reaction. Been up to wentworth today and garden centre a bit quieter but still busy enough for bugs to spread. Although the pubs looked quiet in wentworth I read a post on twitter today where someone was saying they are in a packed wetherspoons in London basically giving 2 fingers up to Boris.

The good news is an old pal of mine has informed me his family has grounded him for 12 weeks.

Im not confident that people will take much notice. If it comes to a beer with the lads down at the pub and a night in with the Mrs I think a lot will vote with their feet.

And if you are out walking a lot cough, sneeze and sniffle as you walk past.

Boris doesn't seem to be following WHO guidance on some things - testing is one. Cheapskate approach to the problem is likely to make it worse than it needs to be. The "plan" seems to be writing off teachers/lecturers/kids/students/support staff as expendable pawns in order to build up "herd immunity"

The over-70s were told to stay at home from yesterday, and in some cases, relatives and friends will be buying stuff for them as well as their own when they go shopping - hence many extra loaded up trollies today as a consequence of government instructions. Not really a surprise when you think about it.

We had nothing in the house and went shopping today. Bought a bit more than normal but not much extra. Could get most of what I needed. Thing is, I guess shops restock on stats based on what people normally buy. if all buy a bit more than normal it will create daily shortages. Just a thought.

There will be a point where the supply chain will be hit. Particularly fresh fruit and veg from abroad.

So long as there’s spuds I don’t care but I couldn’t get any soap today at all that’s going to stop it spreading isn’t it

Latest statement from Government corona virus safety team - real infection figure is now 50,000, and we will do well to keep UK death figure below 20,000! We must be able to do something better than that! Total deaths in China is currently 3226. Do they know they are doing?
