If we are referring to the Docuseries… that will soon disappear. It’s a great story of a famous actor taking a non league team in to the EFL - made even better by the disappointment of the play off loss which whet the appetite and our battle for top spot last season.
Our revenue for this season is projected to be £20 million. This will include our sponsor deals attendances, cup run, record sales of shirts(over 35000) USA pre season tour (which made £8million) and our award winning docuseries ( 3rd series just been announced).
There is every indication that the series will continue next season.
We are in a very fortunate position financially and the aim is for the club to be sustainable.
We have an excellent manager with a very good team and are in a prime position for another promotion this season.
Good luck for the rest of the season see you all that the Racecourse in a few weeks

What's the plan for when the docuseries finishes though? You'll eventually hit a point where automatic promotion isn't nailed on, where you can't outspend the competition, and I'm not sure anyone In the US will care if you are 16th in the Championship. How do you then fund a Championship-sized wage bill with below-average Championship gates?

I’m convinced Wrexham employ a small army of researchers scouring the internet for any mention of their club and immediately correcting any ‘misinformation’ that might get out

‘IN ACTUAL FACT WE’RE BLOODY LOADED BOYO, THE TV DOCUTHINGY MAKES MILLIONS AND WE ALSO SELL LORRY LOADS OF SHIRTS IN ALAMBAMA AND WISCONSIN!!’

"And that will carry on forever so no need to worry about our massive wage bill"

Edit: Why doesn't this site allow me to type in caps?

Apart from a small number of the elite clubs, every club ultimately hits a glass ceiling where it treads water. I don't think Notts have hit ours in League 2, but if we get to consistently mid / upper league 1 then we'll start to feel the pressure of competing with the likes of Portsmouth, Bolton, Derby plus Oxford etc that are backed by deeper pocket owners than ours have.

Yeah, times have changed since we were last an established L1 club. You need serious money and/or quality to compete at the top end of that league. I'd be happy if we became a Peterborough-type club - challenging most years for the playoffs, with the odd year here and there in the Championship. I can't really comprehend anything beyond that.

The 72 ran an article last year that ranked the net worth of owners of Championship clubs. Not sure how accurate it was but only 5 of the clubs had owners worth less than £100m and 8 had owners worth over £1 billion. Being a Peterborough style competitive League 1 team would be a decent place to be, especially in light of our experiences since 2010.

I think though the tides changing again. We are now seeing Prem clubs now adhering to FFP and holding back this month. I think the fines being put out now are finally making the penny drop with some. I think if you’re sensible and smart as you mentioned with Peterborough you can definitely progress. I don’t want our owners to put silly money in as I don’t want to see us in the constant mess we’ve seen over the years. For example if they sold Langstaff for 2m I’d have no objection if they wanted to keep most of it, they’ve already put in millions.

How do you know these clubs have deeper pockets? It's been mentioned on here a few times that Les Bradd let slip that they are extremely wealthy, it depends whether they think they can continue with the model as we hopefully go up the leagues
remains to be seen or they have to start spending bigger

As I understand it, our ownership is a consortium. I believe that the Bros' dad is involved and is a massively wealthy man. I don't think lacking money, nous or ambition is a problem.
