So.. it all falls through and they have just undermined LWs position, by effectively announcing it. Saying nothing until the is are dotted and ts crossed is the way to go in my book. At least they give themselves options should it fall through.

I've worked there before.
I live close by and owed it to my family to consider the offer.
However, I have rejected the position and will be staying at Notts. A fantastic club with fantastic owners, players and fans.

Would we be happy at that?

There’s absolutely nothing for Notts to say yet. Do they need to tell us every time we have an offer for a player?
He’s going, their finishing off the deal and when it’s done they’ll put something out, by no means is it disrespectful, it’s only been 24hrs since it broke.

No but look at what happened when Nolan went for the Shrewsbury job and the squad found out? He lost all authority as they saw him as looking for a way out

He didn't. If he wanted to speak to the squad first, let's say it was an hour. He'd have left at 10ish to get to swansea, that's a 4 hour journey, so he's only done a 30 minutes training session?

That would have been impressive as he was also supposed to be saying his goodbyes to our team today!
