Undercut them, end the gravy train that allows this practise, let them go abroad if they want to, get doctors and nurses in from around the World as we always have.

If Starmer could resurrect the NHS and show that he'd done it through savvy use of the immigration system, the public may look a bit more favourably on him.

I have personally experienced time in an NHS hospital where the ward was staffed by 3/4 agency staff whilst others were employed 'part time' by the NHS, perhaps they were lying?

Is it just me this does not sit right with for a politician (forget the party politics aspect) who is meant to be an upstanding member of society who was responsible for an incident like he was. He was charged with a lesser charge than he could have been and he gave at best a misleading account of the events, to quote the judge "In reality, you told the police a pack of lies. Nothing more, nothing less,". Examples were made in the sentencing of some of the protestors last year, even for some of the lesser offences which I have no issue with. However, as he is someone in public office I feel a similar sort of example should have been made here.

Amesbury has finally done the right thing and said he will stand down as an MP.

It will be an interesting by-election.
