and tony watt was rumored too
Agreed, Gary mckenzie is a big hard ****, united fans need to get real, we are in the championship not the premiership atm. Quite snobbery imo, he’d be more than ok for us

Agree - I seem to remember the furore over Darren Dods. That worked out not too shabby.

my mistake didnt notice warren had signed for someone else just heard we were rumored with him a week or so ago.

mckenize is the sort of defender we've lacked since levein left. big bruisers who wouldnt be pushovers! again i dont think mckenize should be who we sign but someone like him. and tbf he has just left the team who won the league over us so not gonna discount anyone if we did sign him!

its the same everytime we sign someone. if he isnt a striker whos scored loads of goals or a creative player or someone with real pedigree the majority of the other signings nowadays seem to get rubbished. not every signing needs to be marquee or exciting

I’d wager my house that he would be a ****e signing. No snobbery about this what so ever he’s just ****e. If we sign him that’s just laziness on our end considering luggy is meant to be searching every corner of England for the best budget talent and so far we’ve signed nobody from down south.

In my opinion Frans has been brought in as the “big hard *******” ie to attack headers. What we need now is a CB who can read the game, who can mark strikers like Doolan and Dobbie and track their runs who commands the back line making sure we don’t concede goals because the fullback is keeping everybody onside and drags midfielders into covering gaps when fullbacks push up.

Bringing in a “big hard CB” to play alongside Frans would be a disaster, it would work against ****e like Alloa but teams with fast, smart strikers would pump us.

Having a hard team works if your game plan is to sit deep for 90 mins and hit a team from a set play/long ball but if your wanting to watch a team (like I do) that’s going to be attacking teams and having a go at every team in this league then we need to have a balance with a CB partenership that compliments each other. Not a dumb and dumber headballers combo.

The lack of wild rumour while waiting is no good at all. Could someone at least make something up?

When someone said there was rumour of a top 6 player coming to us Hayes was one I thought about but he was recovering from a broken leg was he not? If fully fit again would be a good addition yeah?
