I have said it before...Neil Lennon would be my choice from clubs within Scotland. Doesn’t fear Celtic or Rangers and has Hibs playing entertaining football. Would need to win the league though in his first season.

Remind me how often Hibs have finished above Aberdeen under Lennon? Remind me how many cup finals he has lead Hibs too??

And according to loads of people on here he has/had a vastly superior midfield with McGeouch/McGinn/Malan (combination of last season and this) also he has a far superior strike force than us according to people on here.

Lennon must be some manager to underachieve so badly that he can't get that amazing side to finish above "dodgy Del" who is just sh1t at his job.

Not true at all...he has finished above Dodgy Del before and won the league with Celtic....so get your facts correct before you blow a fuse.
It’s just an opinion but I reckon Lennon would do more with Aberdeen than McInnes. He is a more successful manager and has his teams playing an attacking style.

Wasn’t last season Lennon first with Hibs in the top flight and he finished 4th how did Derek finish when he too met Johnstone up ? I don’t believe he took them into Europe. Also as pointed out Lennon didn’t bottle it when he was offered a job where you’d be expected to win things like Derek did last season.

You asked for a name, I have given you one. He was successful at Celtic and he is now doing a decent job at Hibs (winning the league below in his first season) and getting them into a European spot in his first season back in the top flight. We are not fans of Hibs but I admit I respect their positive approach.
Dodgy Del still has time to make us into a more positive team that can see out a victory against 10 men so I will be watching with interest. Maybe even at Dundee on Saturday we might even manage 2 shots on target which will be a Brucey (Anderson) bonus.

To be fair I’m surprised that we have managed to keep Derek for all this time given how highly some on here rate him. I mean if the rest of football rated him so highly surely they’d all be banging down the doors to Pittodrie demanding to speak to him. I can’t beleive Madrid went for the Spanish coach rather than Derek after all he’s finished runner up 4 times in the league and a couple in the cups and never come close to Europa group stages.

Maybe you and a couple others from the site could do a program on statistical analysis where people show ambition and you run the figures and tell them not to bother.
