I am a bit confused by this too. Our midfield is very poor with little or no creativity. Levitt for me has been stinking since he has come back and at times slows the game down with no end product. Glass at least from what I’ve seen of him, is always pushing forward and if he had been giving the same amount of game time levitt has had would in my opinion be the better option. He showed what he is capable of with that strike against hibs.

Tam obviously sees the arsenal lad and McDonald as being the answer to our midfield issues. Here’s hoping.
It’s not the Levitt’s Been stinking, think it’s more to do with other teams sussing us out. In Levitt’s first few games he got loads of space to do his magic, watch the oppo midfielders with him now, he doesn’t get any time at all. As for Glass, to develop further he needs to play and if Courts won’t pick him then he needs to go out on loan.

Glass leaves on loan presumably to develop. In the meantime we sign a loan player from Arsenal who has no senior experience and has arrived at Tannadice, presumably to develop. Shouldn't we be concentrating on our own players or am I way out of touch with the modern game? The loan system is a phucking farce.

The manual says midfield players who don't track back are midfield players that need to go to Ayrshire and play for McInnes as punishment.

The manual also says that poorer players devoid of creativity and can't shoot but who do track back will play regardless.

Dundee United is being managed by manual.

He's definitely got something but isn't quite ready to start consistently for us imo, and at 22, he absolutely needs full game time at this stage of his career. Hopefully he gets that at Killie. Anyway, we need to be making room for Snodgrass coming in.
If we get snodgrass that would be very good !

Like you I don’t mind Glass going on loan to get some game time

Hopefully he comes back for united next season raring to go and can perform for us

Snodgrass? that pacey wide man we've been screaming for...NOT. Be a waste of money.

Interesting to read what both the player and his new manager have had to say regarding the Declan Glass switch to Killie.

    McInnes

He can take the ball in tight area's and is brave on the ball,he will take extra responsibility to go and get the ball.Sometimes he gets on it too much and loses it,but i would still rather have that type of player. He wasn't one we asked about at first because we did not think he would be available. We got some encouragement when they got another couple of players in.

    Glass on fighting for promotion.

I'm looking forward to working in that environment with that level of pressure>Hopefully i can relish it and put in some good performances.,

Its a pity with our lack of creativity in midfield that we do not have that type of player for the run in.

Evidence I've seen suggest keeping the ball is more important a lot of the time so Glass taking risks with possession seems to be frowned upon at Tannadice. Maybe explains why there is so much tippy tappy 'safe' passing going on. 🤔

I actually think from the players perspective if it’s a pretty good move for his development, he hasn’t missed 18 months with injuries, he will be in a team on front foot mostly so that should help, hopefully get a regular game than but parts here.

Push on next season, think people are over exaggerating his impact because due to lack of his type of player, which I know is the main bone of contention in terms of letting all our wide, and attacking players go - charmers, appere, Watson (only guy with pace). Glass Shown some flashes but could just as easy end up like appere or clambers.

Worrying thing is sounds like easing up wages has been the priority. Fair enough had we replaced them with like style instead of centre mids.

Much as I’m annoyed we’ve let Glass leave on loan, who’s not to say that maybe it’s the player himself that’s pushed for this through frustration at lack of playing time………………………..
