    England winning something in football would be awesome & I'd love it but I don't think it would dwarf 1966...fans could relate to players a lot more back then, I could be very wrong though, like you say the young fans of today seem to love the product just as much as I have ever done & they'll probably bemoan the state of the game in another 30 or 40 years, saying things like 'it's not like it used to be back in 2015'...I think we all must go through what we consider to be halcyon days.

    I'm still hopeful that I'll get to see England win at least the European Championships. In the last 40 years unspectacular teams from Czechoslavakia, United Germany, Denmark and Greece have won the title ... there is no other team as unspectacular as England so we've every chance.
