I'm skeptical too, based on the evidence to date, but I'm resolved to go into the new season with an open mind. Fair to say Maynard will need a good start though.

I’d imagine “sceptical, hoping to be proven wrong” is the mindset of most fans going into the new season with SM.

I’m pleased we now have owners who don’t make knee-jerk decisions - but as we’ve seen with the departure of the goalkeeping coach and fitness coach, they’re also not afraid to pull the trigger when they think something needs improving. If Notts aren’t in the thick of the promotion race in December and performing well, I’d be very surprised if SM survives.

League Two looks like a very level playing field this season and we need to capitalise on that.
