This is exactly what we should have, with the season running from March to November as well. The League Cup could be extended if there is a concern over having less games in a season.

Unfortunately it'll never happen as the crooks running the game in this country are only interested in the weegie bigots playing each other 4 times in the league.

Yes - some will say that a 20% cut in season ticket prices might mean more people buying and total revenue actually increasing. Price elasticity of demand etc. But ah dinnae - so the club would not be too happy to do that.
Like anything it would have its pros and cons,it might increase attendances because it can be a chore at the best of times watching us play Hamilton or Partick especially in the middle of the winter.

As I said it may also help clubs in Europe considering we have to start in July these days,as some have pointed out that Swedish team managed by Graham Potter done well in the Europa League this season,I’m sure it helped they were well into their season instead of being in their pre season.

But maybe we could have a "special cup" for them to play in. Call it something like the Tennents or Buckfast "erse cheek" cup, they can play each other twice in the league and then however many times they want in their own cup.

    Summer football can f@ck off

Winter is a f@cking miserable time with fitba, imagine it without.

The Christmas game glut is also the best thing about Christmas (bar pigs in blankets)

Don't think there doubt that summer fitba is the way to go. Late March to mid Nov.

In years when there is a World Cup or Euros and Scotland mysteriously qualify,
start the season 2 weeks earlier in March and shut it the fcuk down two weeks later in November.

For clubs who have players playing in the Euros or World Cup and Scotland don't qualify - tough.

Issue is always going to be, how do you phase it in? I mean, if we decided to start this in season 2019-20,
we'd need to play a one off shortened next season that started in July and ended in March (play each other 3 times)
then we are straight into the new summer season

No wonder our nation are hopeless at football...

In just about every public park in the country there are goal posts up throughout the winter when you either can't play or would have to be mad to play and in the summer when you actually want to play the goal posts are taken down.

We play football in winter when the pitches are mud baths and your feet are so cold you cannae feel them - no wonder we're miles behind technically.

Nae rocket science, is it? But, there are so many traditionalists holding our game back, that it will never happen.
