A reasonable start against Italy although they'll need to up their game against Ireland. Effectively giving away two tries is just about retrievable against the likes of Italy but won't be acceptable against the big boys. Saying that Italy are improving and are going to give everybody a game.
Didn't see the England game unfortunately, sounded a good game, I'm sure I'd have enjoyed it Always disappointing to lose the first game of the tournament, I remember how p!ssed off I was last year after the first half embarrassment against Ireland.

Beta, it seems to be a traditional thing for the hooker to take the throw ins, probably dates back to the time when the hooker was the smallest in the pack, whereas these days the front row is effectively made up of three props. It wasn't always the hooker however, I remember the All Blacks used to use their wingers to throw in e.g. Grant Batty. Again though that would date back to the time when the wingers were the smallest of the backs unlike th

I think the bigger the better for throwing at the line outs. Someone with extremely long arms so that he can just hand it over to whoever he wants. That could work.

Tut tut as you well know the great Gatland does not whinge, that was a mere clarification of some scrummaging specifics.
Anyway if we did want to moan we could have pointed out the blatant forward pass for the first Italian try but we're above that so we won't

Update follwing the second hilarious week of the 6 Nations. Waiting to hear who Gatland blames this one on, what a thrashing. The concern is that only France's trip to Cardiff looks like stopping them winning the Grandslam.

England's game against Scotland was boring, huge gulf in class but not shown in the scoreline. Someone's going to get thrashed soon, I do hope it's Wales.

My tip for Scotland to win the possible wooden spoon decider in Rome does not look promising.

We have identical entries Beta. I may disqualify you for blatant cheating. Bladder has Italy to beat Scotland (which is looking likely) but has Ireland winning in Paris (could go either way that one).

Just like to say I know nothing about Rugby.
I put down all the ones I was sort of sure of, then used a coin flip to predict all the ones where I had no clue.
Be interesting if random chance keeps me near top?

You should disqualify yourself for copying my entry before I posted it, blatant abuse of status if you ask me.

Fortunately, whoever you copied the original competition from (probably me, again) had the sense to put a tie-breaker question into it.

Cack game and cack result. I said after last week's game it's time to bring Hook back into the team and he would certainly have helped give some different options to the predictable crash bang wallop. Oh how we could do with a Shane Williams back too!
England looking good (although boring) and should move on from here. One note however, somebody needs to have a word with the cocky little gobsh!te that is Owen Farrell, he's going to pick on the wrong person soon and end up with a re-designed nose!
France v Ireland should be a corker
