No I simply pointed out, correctly, that Timothy and Hamish are now on a collision course. This will inevitably end in one of them being defeated or surrendering (who said No Surrender ). A sect doesn't necessarily refer to a religion. Especially somewhere like Northern Ireland, where the situation is far more political than religious nowadays - the sectarianism remains and these two songs are sectarian.

Your point about "The wheels on the bus" is moot as I obviously said "in the context of Northern Irish politics".

I would say they are sectarian, yes. I would say my allegiances with regards to the situation in NI are fairly obvious, so I'm hardly likely to burst a blood vessel about the Sash.
