He's galvanised the Blades and he did the same at Derby, but could he have pushed beyond that?

Having sworn not to mention you know who again I do ahve to ask exactly when he "galvanised" Derby? I've watched the Rams for many a year and I don't recall Derby surging up the league or reaching a cup semi final in any year when he was our manager!

I wouldnt disagree with that - though I do dispute the old chestnut about a budget, I think you will find that Clough had a better budget than the majority of championship teams and its not as though McClaren has spent loads to get us to third place which we have occupied for weeks.

I dont want to revisit the argument about whether he was the right appointment, clearly I thought that he wasn't and that other managers could have been appointed who would have done a better job, but its old hat.

As for what he does in league one with the Blades, well good luck to him, but I dont

Wasn't a dig at you fella, just picking the bait hook out of Rattea's post.

You asked how could Clough of led Derby to semi's when he'd only just joined us, but he'd actually said... get the drift.

Just thought i'd get in with a condescending reply first.

The thing is swale you say you don't buy it, but i remember a time when someone posted a link which showed at that time we had a bottom 6 budget. I reposted it again and again, when you were online, on threads that you had just posted on and you never responded. Then a few months after, you started spouting that you didn't believe he had a small budget again, and i reposted the link again. Guess what you vanished again. So i don

It's all old hat Swaledale, right now we need to beat Forest tomorrow and show that we're genuine contenders for promotion.
My concern for the future is if we get promoted then we won't get the money to stay there, like last time.
My immediate concern is that I won't get back from the cinema and McDonalds in time to see us hopefully win!
