Not really ella, they've been living way beyond their means for some time now and its just now catching up with them, once the FFP penalties kick in next year as well as the 10 point deduction it should see them back in their rightfull place in L1

SBC little question.billy has been found guilty of pushing the ref and given that extra 3 game ban.is it TRUE that he could be sacked because of this and we wouldn't have to pay him out?gross misconduct?

SBC is probably right about Billy losing the dressing room, the last few games were a clear warning something was not right tactically and against Derby, the team was totally lost with no sense of direction.

As for Fawaz and his interference, well this probably has some truth in it somewhere. But most billionaire club owners usually want some say or recommendations.

Ancelotti was quite good in this and listening to his owners at Milan and Chelsea, probably at Madrid too. It's a necessary evil managers with rich owners have to accept.

Getting into rows with your bosses especially when things go wrong is not a good idea. The best course is to just listen, agree if possible but go ahead on what you wanna do anyway, if the suggestion doesn't fit.

Everybody knows that in football if something goes wrong it's the manager who has to take blame, rightly or wrongly.

Fawaz still has some learning to do, the best is get his chief executive in the summer as promised and support Pearce where

Polish - I'm afraid it doesn't happen that way but it certainly helped in the negotiation of Billy's settlement which is on-going. All I do know is, Billy has asked for a fair settlement for him and his staff and has waived a couple of payments as a sign of good will.

Romanis - Good post. I am under the impression that the structure Fawaz wants to have in place this summer is:

    Chairman: Fawaz Al Hasawi
Chief Executive: Nos have been leaked.
    Director of Football: Paul Hart
    Club Ambassador: John McGovern
    Manager: Stuart Pearce

I think this would be an excellent start. Paul Hart knows a lot and could help direct the Academy as well as club affairs. The C.E.O. role, I am told, is to be filled with an experienced individual with Premier League CEO experience but as of yet I have no idea who they are considering. Fawaz has already interviewed 2 candidates this year though. John then helps to be an external face to press and co. All of these things will help to a) free up Fawaz's tim
