fu(king tremendous day - one of the best

Will never happen again. Its now a premiership game, where people expect to be seated, entertained, watch multi millionaire players, from 57 different camera angles.

    It's not the same game

    Ahhh... the good old days.

Standing on those concrete steps, freezing your nuts off with nothing but a Harrington and a Fred Perry to keep you warm.

Getting soaked to the skin because Levi Sta-Prest were not known for their water repellent qualities.

Your quarter-tipped brogues becoming waterlogged and sticking to the floor on a combination of drink, rain and gob.

Just about managing to spark up a damp Players No.6 with the petrol lighter you got on that French Day trip.

Eating a pie or a burger quickly before the rain makes it soggy, all the time wondering if some opposition fans would happen to be on the train back to Stevenage when you are on your own and give you a good hiding.

These youngsters sitting safely in the dry, warm and well catered modern grounds. Don't know what football is all about.

I was also there in the Holte end and its the loudest I have ever heard our support.

One of the reasons why this cannot be repeated is that we were standing and so we were absolutely packed in to that stand...having all seater stadia kill that immediately

Mate,I remember you sending the dvd out to a few people, fair play to you. If I knew how to arrange it, I would love a copy.

A Skinhead ffs, no wonder you were banished across the channel.

The Last Resort is now shut, as is Blackmans.

Mate, I was in the wooden side, upper tier (to your left), behind the dugouts, it was all seater, it was like a f.ucking rave in there. Nothing and no-one could have got anyone to sit down that day.

Billy Bonds's Claret and Blue Army indeed.

    Goosebumps.
