[quote="Corkhead" myself I have for years put up with problems of getting into town, getting parked and something to eat pre-match. It means you have to leave an hour early at least (in my case probably 2). Getting away after the game can be a big problem as well. This surely puts a lot of floating fans off coming down. The die-hards would find their way out of the city to the match in an off-island location, probably on free transport provided by the club? Emotionally hard to leave FP I know but for me it is the only way forward.[/quote]

I fully respect the Riddle's expertise and knowledge of football ground architecture, traditions, planning and health and safety considerations, and PFC are privileged to have someone with his background in a position to help shape our strategy for redeveloping Fratton Park. I also trust the Riddle to act in the club's best interest - e.g. retaining the unique feel of FP rather than following the easy option of a plastic bowl solution as per Scum, Derby, Leicester, Mboro etc.

However, I wouldn't want us to rule out any option just because of a £2m cost to relocate underground electical cabling. Yes, that's a huge amount of dosh for a club in our current predicament, but in terms of a 50 year plan for Britains's biggest and best community owned club, this amount is peanuts! Also, while I love the thought of retaining ou
