For me, the key to any successful stadium redevelopment is to keep our options open and remember that we're planning for the next 50 years or so.

I fully respect the Riddle's expertise and knowledge of football ground architecture, traditions, planning and health and safety considerations, and PFC are privileged to have someone with his background in a position to help shape our strategy for redeveloping Fratton Park. I also trust the Riddle to act in the club's best interest - e.g. retaining the unique feel of FP rather than following the easy option of a plastic bowl solution as per Scum, Derby, Leicester, Mboro etc.

However, I wouldn't want us to rule out any option just because of a £2m cost to relocate underground electical cabling. Yes, that's a huge amount of dosh for a club in our current predicament, but in terms of a 50 year plan for Britains's biggest and best community owned club, this amount is peanuts!
