They tried to, guess which party torpedoed it, yep scummer connolly.
Maybe he just wants his contract to be paid in full, not the usual Pompey method of debt avoidance. If you are that desperate to get him of the books you could do another whip round.
You mean like paying 0p in the pound ala SFC.

I'll give em their dues, they all come out of the woodwork when they do well. But when they dont where the hell are they??

So poor old Dave wants to see out the last few months of a contract that was offered in good faith and, in doing so, goes from plucky hero to uber-villain almost overnight ?

Still, he's far from the first to experience that at fp, and he's certainly not going to be the last.

    Leopards and spots..

    Lovren, Lallana, Pochettino.

    Leopards and spots indeed.

Lallana, Lovren, Pochettino et al wanted out, so the club let them go.

Poor old Dave just wants to pick up the meagre pay-packet he was offered until his contract runs out in June.

Hardly the same, but I'm not confident you'll grasp the differences.

It's a football thing - going from hero to zero at clubs. It happens at every club, every season for a variety of reasons. Very much the same but I'm not confident you'll grasp the similarity.

A long list that contains players such as Lawrence, TBH , Kanu, Halford, Kitson and now poor old Dave joins the massed ranks. To a man, they were bullied, harrassed, harangued and abused, simply because they expected to be paid what was rightfully, fairly and contractually owed to them.

How dare they make such demands ?

It's very touching to see you have the financial welfare of all of the multi millionaires you mention close to your heart.

I know the truth can often be a little tough to bear, but that doesn't make it ****e, does it ?

In the first instance, my absence from this cheery place was an enforced one - seems some of your over-sensitive moderators were perhaps a little trigger happy..

You really do come across as a little bitter at times - perhaps you should step up and try to be the bigger man.

Does it matter whether they are minted or not ?

You can't simply bully / harass / intimidate players in the hope they walk away from lawful contracts and give up their legitimate entitlements.

    Then again, you clearly can..
