What's your views on Ibe?

I can see where davecov is coming from though I would excuse Ibe to a degree due to his youth and relative inexperience.
It is frustrating though to see Jordan ONLY pass when he HAS to, not when it is BEST to.
Once he realises that a slid pass to Martin / Hughes and a continued run will have the ball back at his feet goal side of his marker, I'm sure he'll get the message. Easier than skinning the defender and will gain him yards.

I must admit mazey runs with the defenders left on their backsides is entertaining but creating / scoring team goals is more so.

I think Ibe is a better option than Dawkins. However I'm with Cov. A couple of "give and goes" ie Ibe passes on receiving the ball and runs on for the return and we'll see Ibe really progress.

I do get a sense that he does have that youthful over-confidence that inevitably makes him decide to try and beat a player even when he's fairly static. However, against Reading we saw his brilliance when a sheer class of a reverse-angle pass from Bryson at pace saw Ibe receive the ball whilst in motion. A sway of the hips and the first defender evaporated, Ibe advanced and the ball kissed the onion bag.

Will he become more of a team player at Derby? I doubt it, but he'll be a better player if the penny drops and he learns to mix it up, sometimes giving and going, sometimes holding.
