Think both Christie and Wisdom were down to fees at the time.

Smith had done alright at Millwall? I think the previous season.

Christie certainly was down to fees, he was hardly a big buy and anyway according to my info wasn't on Clough's radar!

There wasn't a sniff of Wisdom until McClaren took over.

But its all off topic, we win two games and theres not a peep from theBoards wise old sage!

    AT THE ****ING TIME!

Getting sick of you following me around posting rubbish. At the time there were a few "bigger" clubs sniffing around. We only got him cheap due to a dip in form/poor Coventry side and his refusal to sign a contract...a year and a half later.

Christie fair enough but wisdom? was wisdom's loan fee really that much more than adam smith?

sounds to me more like mac has the contacts at the top because they respect his coaching and want their young players develop here. the same couldn't be said for clough unfortunately.

    re: Where he Gone?

Its basically irrelevant anyway, what is not in question is the FACT that it was McClaren who signed them.

In the end it matters not one jot who signed a player, its how the coaching team get them to perform on the football pitch that counts and on that score McClaren's done his job.

So why do you keep on trying to provoke Rattea to reply to the same bloody topic again and again? It's incredibly boring. Please can you just ignore Rattea's inane WUM comments?

You might like the so called banter, but I find it pointless and frankly, idiotic.
Still trying to tell others what to say and do then. You are entitled to your opinion as to what is and isn't banter but the fact remains you troll his every comment.

His posts whether true or totally inane as you put it are helping to keep this board busy and that in itself is healthy.

    Happy posting
Why is it others who have posted in response to his wind-up

If a poster comes on here and continuously makes arguments with a fellow poster despite numerous requests for both parties to stop it the person who chooses to continue to post it on the board will be banned

It's not good for the advertises, owners, fellow posters or people looking and reading in to be reading personal arguments and have to be around that kind of unnecessary ****. It's not wanted or acceptable.
