I criticised him once before, in the youth cup final, 3 years ago. If he hadn't been our no 2 keeper at the time i wouldn't have expressed my concerns.

He's improved since then but Zander is the better keeper. While we've still got something to play for in the league, we've got to pick our best available team.[/quote] You sir, are well out of order. You do not get ready made 20 year old goalkeepers with a guarantee that they won't do something daft. Queens have got to make allowances for Jim to make mistakes in order for him to be the goalie he will be . He has the raw ability and will be our number 1 keeper. Nothing against Zander at all and he has been a brilliant signing but somewhere down the line we have to develop our OWN keepe and be patient in the meantime .

Think everyone agrees that Jim was a bit rash when coming out for the ball when conceding the penalty.
He's young and at this level inexperienced, however he will learn from this and improve.
Couldn't be faulted for there second so to say he cost us the game is harsh.
Like so many have said before he needs a run of games so I'd stick with him at the moment, but in the long term well nobody knows what's round the corner.

The management have to play Jim ,he is the present number one and hopefully will be for years to come! He has the makings of a really top class keeper.Come May Zander will be on his way back to St Johnstone never to return. The lads done well on his loan spell ,but is no better than Jim who has waited for his chance for three seasons now. So give him a chance to shine for the rest of the season and at the start of next season there will be no need for a loan signing coming in, might be better looking for a decent experienced keeper thats willing to end his career as a squad player!
As on yesterdays debate about the penalty ,perhaps Jim was a bit quick at coming out to claim the ball but its the usual now for young strikers to go to ground easy with the slightest of contact, and cummings was no different as any of the others! I'm sure that it would of been interesting to see if the referee would of come to the same conclusion if Russell had been charging in on oxley !!!!!!!!!!!!

Looked a stone wall penalty with a bit more than a slightest touch.
    He'll learn though

I notice no one has mentioned the incident in the first half when he palmed, what should have been a straight forward catch, directly into face of the goalmouth. The ball dropped a yard from the goal line and if Mcshane hadn't reacted first it would have been unmissable.

He's too short to play at a higher level than the Championship and even then he's only number 2 material.

We are trying to chase 4th spot here. We haven't got time to nurture up and coming talents at this stage. We want the strongest best available, not whats morally right.
Jim deserves to play but Zander is the safer option for what we should be trying to achieve this season.

What would the point be in changing Jim for Zander next week only for Fowler to have to change it the following week against St Johnstone.?
