I get my money's worth from Sky from the On Demand services (although most of their films are ****), plus the golf and cricket. But I wonder how their customers will react if faced with a price hike to fund this deal, especially as we all know exactly where the money ends up.

You have to start pondering your sanity at some point.
My sanity has been questioned on a number of topics including the ever growing control by tv of football (how many Friday games are there?) and that I don't have Sky. Quite liberating.

Not sure how not having Sky is liberating? Surely it's a lifestyle choice, and of course a luxury if you can afford it?

I wonder why those that are truly opposed to Sky are happy enough to cheer on the players that the TV money allows them to see.

Doesn't add up to me. If you like sport, Sky is unrivalled.

I'd cheer on any player in a Saints shirt regardless of Sky money but agree it's a luxury if you can afford it. Not having Sky doesn't mean you miss any football though

Apart from those 120 odd live matches they show each season.

I'm not even sure if Sky is the villain in this piece anymore. Does the Premier League need to sell the TV rights for that much money? Can they be trusted to feed the money down to grass roots levels? Are they doing enough to help the National team?

Is it time for a salary cap?

And in your own small way help perpetuate Sky's involvement in football.

Nope. All are available live without signing up to Sky

As for a salary cap I can't see it happening. Actually I'd prefer an agents fee cap first anyway.

Since it's the FA I suspect some crumbs will feed down to grass roots but not sure where they leave the bit between PL relegation and grass roots - other than even larger parachute payments perhaps ??

I cheered on players in Saints shirts before Sky money and continue to regardless of anyone's money, or no money at all.
