Get akpan in there. Gives an attacking aeriel threat as well as a physical midfield presence.

According to Paul Lamberts after-match assessment,we were the better team, should have won,"peppered their goal" etc etc...........

Now had that been Gary Bowyer making those comments,I can imagine the critical, humorous response......

Could it be something to do with not losing face, when those players rested against West Ham might just as well have played anyway since we lost tonight?

To be fair, it does sound like one of the games from the early part of the season where we created lots of chances, but couldn't finish.
I see that the Derby manager's main praise is for his centre-backs.
I do agree, though, that there is a certain irony in the familiarity of OUR manager's post-match comments.

This sounds a typical could of played for another 90 minutes and still not scored
now I am not massively worried 8 points clear and our general play has improved massively we mix it up now without the predictable hoof it from the back
this makes me believe we will achieve more positive results than not
does that mean we are nearing the finished artical?not even close but at least we are more appealing to watch and we have different players for the different situations and games
we did look very one dimensional now we have options
I look to the mk dons game with a more positive outlook.

Don't want to upset anyone but, 3 shots on target in the whole match is hardly 'peppering the goal'.
You were the better side in the second half, we were better in the first but Carson only had one genuine save to make.
You'll be alright...way too good to go down...good luck next season.

No one is too good to go down if they don't get points, no matter mow good they look. Our goal difference does suggest that we'll be OK. But we have to win a few in this season before we think about the next one
