True. But you can also tell a lot about someone's character........by what they're like!Originally Posted by woolwhacker

I remember when Pearson got done by the FA for telling a supporter to 'F*** Off!' - Pearson got roundly condemned as the chap made a point of complaining that he had his kids with him and Pearson shouldn't have said that in front of them. Talksport had a call the following day from someone who'd been sitting nearby - apparently the bloke with the kids had spent the whole game swearing at Pearson (not at the team, just at Pearson) and using far worse language, regardless of the fact he was with his kids....after hearing that, my main disappointment was that Pearson hadn't decked the bloke...
I wasn't keen when his was put forward, but having seen the spineless performance in the play-off 1st leg (and a number of other capitulations during the season), I'm coming round to the idea that we need someone like him to inject some steel into our jelly-filled squad....

I may be going mad and stand to be corrected but I recall that originally he said that the type of manger he was looking for was not an "experienced" manager and someone who would tell him how to run things and was looking for an up and coming manager.........or was it all a dream!!
You will wake up in a shower some time soon Paulo

He did indeed Paulo...but we all learn from our mistakes, it was around a year ago and he can change his mind.
I remember having a run in with some guy about Shotton about the same time. He was right...I was wrong. ;-)
The BBC Midlands reporter (Pat Murphy) is echoing what SDSR is saying
I really don't want Pearson. Derby fans are as fickle as it gets and as soon as fans turn against him I could see him blowing his top. That's not to mention I don't rate him as a manager anyway.
I'd love to be proven wrong and Pearson takes us up and then to some sort of stable position in the Prem, but I can't see it happening.
Let's hope someone else impresses in the interview!
