And we get somebody new in and guess what it doesn't go to plan so the ones who didn't give the last manager time surprise surprise don't give the new manager time.

    Yep pure madness.

I agree it would be madness to get rid of the manager after so few games but I also think it was madness by Tony Stewart to gamble everything on a manager without Championship experience when he told us that was an essential requirement.
I've said before that if Tony Stewart sacks Stubbs before Christmas he needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror because his record of managerial appointments is pretty dire. So much so that I would have little confidence that he would know how to get the right man next time.
For what it's worth my preference would be Paul Lambert if TS decides to pull the trigger but I really hope our fortunes improve so AS will be given more time to build something.

I hope AS succeeds by he has the same initials as mad Andy Scott who was insane, unless he changes he will have us bottom by xmas.

My thoughts are he is as daft as Andy Scott, if he is we will break all records for goals conceded

The only way we can compete long term in this division is to build a style of play, with the right players, that suits us and the budget, that process is ongoing with AS whether you like it or not, it may succeed, it may fail, but to want the manager to get the sack after a short pre season and 8 games is pure madness.
Surely everybody deserves more than 10 games..with a decision one way or another to give the club a chance to progress..but a good sign to as wether a manager is good enough to take a club forward is the calibre of player he signs..even with financial restrictions..in my opinion theres a couple ok and one outstanding, the rest are division 2 and division 3 players..alarmingly, NONE are better than the players we already had, and even more baffling, stubbs being a decent centre back in his time, has never built from the back..and if we persevere with this lot, in this division, somebodys going to get 10.

That was Emlyns second season, the one where we were relegated. The season before was the one that we finished 7th. Best team in my living memory was 1965-66 Mansell team. Exciting but would let goals in as well.

This process you bleat on about doesn't exist. The style of football is wholly unsuited to the abilities of the players. Either Stubbs can't see or he's not capable of changing it. Either way, if we stick with him we are down. That's madness old boy.

It's the easiest thing in the world to be negative, easy, and if, that's IF we're relegated you'll all be out giving it the large one about how you were right. The hard thing to do is to get behind the team, like you're supposed to as a fan, particularly when things arent going well, i happen to think there's enough in this team, when all aspects are fit, to keep us in the division, i also happen to think that we have to give AS a chance, what happens if we get rid now? There'l be no Warnock style comeback this time, just another manager with the same players firefighting, let AS develop these players to play how he wants, over the season, then yeh, judge him, come back and gloat if we go down if you like. The brutal truth of it is this, we're a very small fish in a massive pond and the expectations of some so called supporters are quite frankly ridiculous.

Not quite as very small as Burton though are we, and they seem to be doing ok

Yeh, and good luck to them, first season syndrome maybe, whichever, the brutal truth is though, again, that ultimately they will fail and fall back into league 1, will we? i don't know, but one thing is for sure, i'll still be positive about the team, all you half empty folk can pat yersens on the back, tell yourselves you were right and stop going....
