I certainly agree with that Bill. However, I am a bit worried about our number of shots on target.

I wouldn't be too worried woking.

It is glaringly obvious where our problems lie and today, whether it was a fluke or not, we didn't concede.

I'm hoping the goals will come but we need to be harder to beat.

Thought it rubbish, horrible, terrible performance but it got us a point!

Can't be sceptical of lambert after one game but god blimey how some of them got near the first team today is beyond me!

Surely he'd have researched footage at least of the players in match action I mean, Saville, Coady, Wallace, Hause even Iorfa, they ain't good enough, for me anyway, felt quite deflated when I saw the team sheet when announced!

Maybe he'd gone of the word of some of the other back room staff I don't know!

Maybe I'm just pd off with the whole day, nightmare 4 hour journey there, M6 was a mess, rushing to the ground in the sleet/snow arriving seconds before kick off to watch that **** but I don't see this lot improving anytime soon!

Funny Cav comes on and creates two good chances within 5/10 minutes, he has to start!

K'Ford Wolves ended up going to Chorley before the game, it's a pity we didn't stay there and give the game a miss. It wasn't the greatest of games that's for sure and Wolves tried their bet to to hand Preston all three points. At the back, a near costly slip from Hause and lack of ball control went unpunished, how Hugill didn't put his side 1-0 is anyone's guess when he had only Lonergan to beat.

Before the game i would have settled for a clean sheet and to take at least a point, we got just that. Going forward Wolves lacked any real creativity until the introduction of Cavaleiro, who created two decent chances for Dicko.

From a Preston point of view, they had enough chances to win, but Gallagher, Hugill and Makienok have to improve on their finishing. I'm still even now surprised that the ref didn't award the home side a penalty, Iorfa lucky to get away with one.

I'm not going to be one of those negative supporter's who's already being critical of Lambert, plenty of vocal voices in the crowd today though who aren't happy with him being at the club, too many living in the past. The players gave their all, that's all you can ask.

71, the ones who made their feeling clear about the appointment of Lambert, any idea who they claimed to prefer, given the options we had?

They seem to think he is too defensive, even before a ball was kicked, the introduction and poor touches by Jed Wallace also added to their disappointment. None could add a better manager/ head coach instead of Lambert. It's how 'big' a club many think Wolves are, when as many already know, our glory days are long gone. I think starting at the back, shoring up a leaking defence is a must, adding more steel in midfield and also someone can put the ball in the net, not a lot to ask for really?

I said earlier that any manager worth his salt could see the immediate problems we have.
A clean sheet away to an in form team, regardless of the performance is at least a starting point.

The international break has probably stopped Preston's momentum. I think the main objective today was not to lose, and Wolves did just that.

Oh for a bit of Bully, not many of his kind about today. Lambert at least wasn't afraid to give Enobakhare a start. I enjoyed watching him for the U23s recently. Today was just part of the step up from that level. Getting an understanding with Bodvarsson wasn't going to happen straight away, i also think the latter hasn't come back as good as he was before his injury. His game is a lot more than winning flick-ons and running after over hit long balls.

do you reckon Bodvarsson isn't the same player as a whole or because he still maybe not fully recovered?
He's only in his mid twenties.....

I think he looks half a yard off the pace at times. Maybe under Lambert's leadership fitness issues will improve for Bodvarsson.
