Totally agree that's the point I'm making, over the entire project I'm not naive enough to not understand that Tony Stewart has invested significantly across the board.

But ultimately we as a club are no better off than we were under the Booth's because it doesn't own any of the significant assets.

Fair enough but think of this. Stewart is putting in £3m a year to keep the club on out of debt. The club has sold an average of 6000 season tickets per year since making the championship, that generates around £1.2m per season.

Hang on you called me a mug didn't you ??

The question I've asked over and over again is why weren't you all moaning about TS last season or the season before or the season before??

It's simple we've had a nightmare season and you've all spit the dummy out and whatever he sYs he just gets rubbished and gets called a liar.

    Like I said fickle.

    Apologies if I insulted you.

Yak, you disregard the opinion of others. Every fan acknowledges TS has put shed loads of money into his project but putting £35 million into the club he has not. Folk on here are simply saying the accounts show nothing of this and they would if he had.

You may think some are arrogant but I don't believe they are. They are not gullible either

Brin comments sums it up perfectly for me nobody made him put the money in wow.

That's what it's come down to as it?

He's been called a liar a bull****ter a lightbulb king and the rest.

It's like an old boys club on here where you all sit round patting each other on the back telling each other I've been watching the millers 30 years so I'm right about us and the bloke who saved us is wrong,

Every time he says anything it's the same Ones criticising him.

Nobody can answer my question why weren't you all moaning about him last year or the year before or the year before that??

It won't happen but if he did walk away and we went bust because of the fans moaning the same ones would sit there and say knowt to do with me I'm a loyal supporter of 30 years.

Let's see everyone get behind the team tomorrow.

I won't hold my breath but some will be on after though to moan as usual.

I understand why people stop posting on here.
But then the boys club will say it's nothing to do with me we're the lifeblood of this site.

    Depressing on here with some.

Irrespective of what he has or hasn't put into the club and irrespective what loans he may or may not have made the important thing for me in the article on the back page was.... " the club is stable and the club has no debt.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if my memory serves me correctly, back in the dark days when TS told Booth to jam his rent where the sun don't shine, TS stated he moved the club to DVS so RUFC wouldn't ever be held to ransom by greedy landlords again. I seem to remember him saying it was his goal to build a new stadium that would ultimately be owned by RUFC and that he wanted the club to own its ground and generate enough income to be self supporting.

Hope I wasn't just dreaming. If this is/was TS's intention, then I hope the ungrateful moaner's that are hurling their abuse towards the man who saved our great club don't end up making him think "wtf ..... why bother? Maybe i will just keep the returns and profits for myself"

Maybe, just maybe, TS genuinely has/had magnanimous intentions.

Regardless I would hate to see him jack it in because of a bunch of people that want to kick him in the teeth and stab him in the back for his efforts

All I'm going to say about Tony Stewart is he'll do for me. I've seen him in the ground a few times he doesn't ignore you.

He's got to have something about him to have made the money he has.

I believe him money he's put in to the club, why not. Can tell he's genuine not like Evans & Warnock.

Celebrate him being the chairman, best thing that's happened in my over 50 years watching the Millers.

    Only just read this thread.

I love the way people who have been sl@gging TS off are still having their digs at him. This even though he has now come out and spoken after you were all moaning he wasn't keeping us in the loop regarding what's going off.

With some fans he just cannot win, none of you are going to hold your hands up and say "okay fair do's, I was wrong".

Instead you are now talking and quoting things you really have no real knowledge of, the specifics of how the club is run financially etc.

You call his years with us a project for example, like he has some motive to make money out of what he has put in.

Anyone with an ounce of brain matter should know, Football Club chairman do not make any f@cking money at any level of English football and certainly not at a club of our size.

He delivered us the NYS and yet people are saying things like "he didn't have to", "he"ll make a nice wage renting it to the club" blah blah blah.

I know some people cant seem to get over him letting Evans go and I myself think that was an error.

I think the stick he is still getting now though after coming out and speaking to the media is very poor.

Its bitter, its uncalled for, its unworthy and stinks of overall ungratefulness' towards a bloke who has done more for this football club than any other individual throughout its entire existence. Yes I agree fans have given more time and may well be here when he is not but in terms of investment, delivering on promises he stands alone.
