    Back on subject,

    Sol Cambell as our manager?

Why not? Would he be able to work with a small budget? Would he be as influential as we all would hope?

Not all good players who have reached the levels he has generally have the influence we as supporters believe they would. It's usually managers that can go into the club they have left and tap up the players that they've already managed who have influence.

    Frog:

    Yes
Yes - if fit for purpose
    No idea
    Not a manager
    No

Everyone has to start somewhere so Sol can start somewhere else. AS has a building job on his CV and coaching at Everton under a good manager. He was just what we wanted - in theory !

It didn't work out for many reasons but now we're talking about another appointment ! AS was a football guy and we should now be discussing his first window.

We no have the same problem !

We will never find "THE RIGHT MAN" to suit everyone and particularly the right man to do our specific job!

The only thing is to identify the potential downfall of every candidates and eliminate them until we get a safe pair of hands.

    That'll be like buying a volvo !

Steady would do for me right now - Sol is high risk and Warnsey isn't a manager !

Adkins is hardly a failed League 1 manager having got S****horpe promoted with a wafer thin budget.
He wasn't successful at Bramall Lane but neither was Nigel Clough and others.
I'm not advocating Adkins as our manager but he has some of the attributes that TS claims to be looking for so I wouldn't be surprised if he's on.the radar.

I know all that. Unfortunatelly it didn't work out for AS. Every Miller would have loved success under him as we would any other manager. I really don't want to talk about him anymore apart from in reference to a situation. He's a part of Rotherham Uniteds history.

The reference is about starting the same process all over again....

    Then what ?

    If the new manager suffers
a poor run of results - due to :

Two best players and captains injured long term.

Poor form of senior professionals making individual mistakes and costing goals.

60% of budget allocated to existing squad AFTER Niel Warnocks cull. So bugger all money to throw at new "championship" players

New Manager set back 6 weeks due to previous manager's procrastination.

Clubs only "talent" spotter "disappeared" under mysterious circumstances.

Wicked referee's more or less cheating every chance they have....or rank incompetents ( or both )

Fans atrociously attacking new manager for being serious about his job.

And the rest of what happened early this season - then the new manager will be hounded out again !

Dare I say that stats don't show Warnsey as being "THE ONE" .....but we love him and the lads give him everything !

The reference Frog is that if we don't give our managers greater support then we'll have a new manager every 13 weeks.

All the above criteria were beyond the control of the Rotherham United manager at that time.

The only improvement from the start of the season is a computer system and an operator that "sources" players.

My problem with that is that the search criteria will be based on financial criteria and not football criteria.....because those is our limiting criteria.

The plastic's that hounded Stubbs out will turn on any new manager having half the problems mentioned above. And untill these plastic's are muzzled - we'll suffer the same mindless driffle.

It's NOT the man - it's the respect of the "position" of Rotherham United manager!

Although the rats are already leaving the ship.....so it's not all bad news !

Again - Newcastle look like getting 3 points due to referee blatantly ignoring a Newcastle handball then giving them dubious penalty - why we bother playing football when the referee decides the results I don't know.....

But Huddersfield did it to us when their midfielders played basketball against us to score immediately after.....

Referee's are deciding results FAR TOO OFTEN !

    Unbelievable! Shockingly stupid! Disrespectful! Rude!

lbj, I wrote in good English that I don't want to talk about him anymore! You can chose any of the listed just above to see what I think of your once again repeated posts!

When someone says something, please have the curtisy respect what they've said and that way we can all get on.
