Let's assume you're correct and that we may have the third largest budget in League 1 next season but if, by some miracle that allows us to come straight back up, then what?
Recent experience suggests there will be no plan to consolidate in the Championship because TS apparently doesn't have the wherewithal or maybe the inclination to fund a competitive campaign at that level.
So what then? Another season from hell with defeat after defeat, unhappy supporters, disillusioned sponsors?
What's the point of going round in that vicious circle again?
I know it's not easy to attract additional investment and maybe the Stewart family don't want to loosen their grip on the club anyway. But if we are ever to see real progress there really is no alternative to bringing in extra funding simply to allow us to compete at a reasonable level and keep out of that bottom three.
