the biggest mistake TS has made this season is not keeping the fans informed..
he made his choice in manager and it didnt work out. he gave him free reign to bring in which players he wanted (to a budget) he then appointed another manager who 99% of millers fans would have said. "yes hes the one to take us forwards". that also didnt work out.
people keep saying he should bring in investment. theres no such thing as free investment. whoever invest will want a return.. it may be a short term fix but long term it will cripple a small club like our-self's

the only hope i have so far regards next season is. from the last time we were in the 1st division we had the 6th highest budget...
with the looks of it next season we should have the 3rd highest budget...
add to that the players we already have should make us a decent force...
we all know we need a manager and between the 20/30 MM posters you could come up with 5 or 6 names...
Ok, let's move on from my argument that TS chucked it all away with 28 games to go (although your dad was obviously right about that as well &#128521.
Let's assume you're correct and that we may have the third largest budget in League 1 next season but if, by some miracle that allows us to come straight back up, then what?
Recent experience suggests there will be no plan to consolidate in the Championship because TS apparently doesn't have the wherewithal or maybe the inclination to fund a competitive campaign at that level.
So what then? Another season from hell with defeat after defeat, unhappy supporters, disillusioned sponsors?
What's the point of going round in that vicious circle again?
I know it's not easy to attract additional investment and maybe the Stewart family don't want to loosen their grip on the club anyway. But if we are ever to see real progress there really is no alternative to bringing in extra funding simply to allow us to compete at a reasonable level and keep out of that bottom three.

we will see how serious Tony Stewart is about promotion when he announces the permanent manager.

you can only go on past history in the championship we are seriously under funded in league 1 we are well backed.

I personally think Tony will back us to get promotion unless he has plans to sell the club in no way does it benefit him the longer we are in league 1.

maybe he realised the dream was over when Kenny left so his thoughts want to save and make as much money this year to have the club in a better finacial situation next year when promotion is more relistic in league 1 than not been relegated was in the championship.

We the paying fans have been totally duped this season, with 28 games to go where the feck have we had our entrance fee moneys worth? The board have said feck the fans they're not important, they'll still come to watch this total disaster of a so called team. Well wake up because the fans are pissed about being taken as numpties, and the early exits prove this point perfectly. Soon those early exiters (thousands of em) won' enter. Rant over DWTM!!

isnt football pointless anyway??. how long have you been a miller? 40/50/60 years? take TS out of the equation from those past years which of what you suggest above has been implemented.. how many of the past owners have taken us to the promised land and kept us there.. the answer is none. i would even argue TS has been the most successful owner we have had especially if you consider the amount of money thats in the sport..

due to the size of our club and the fan base our level is mid to lower league 1.. theres no getting away from that and getting a investor is just tosh. football is a business and anyone who puts money into a club wants a return we are not big enough to sub-stain championship level never mind paying a % out of that budget to a so called investor.
if rotherham could get 25/30k fans per week then i would be concerned if we couldn't sub-stain championship status. we have a 7k fan base and 2k more who pick and choose there games.
im sorry theres no magic answer. we are what we are

we are all hurting m8. its been a tough season.. sadly we have a pot of money and once its gone , well its gone.
im not blaming AS or TS or even KJ...
most fans are saying why doesnt TS have someone on the board who is football minded but he put AS in place (a pro manager allegedly) and he let him have free reign on the signings. and i would also say stubbs signings, % wise were/are more successful than evans...
kenny jacket came in and 90% would have been well chuffed at his appointment. for whatever reason he didnt fancy it (wuss)
i think TS then has to decide. does he throw more cash at another manager and break the golden rule of business..
people say he went for the cheap option in warne.. yeah he prob did but if the budget is already blown what good would another manager have been if he had fek all to spend in january
As january has proven the cash had been spent and it was about getting the season over and hoping...

This is my 60th year following the Millers and although it's not the worst situation I've witnessed by a long chalk, it is among the most disappointing because the chairman has simply capitulated without a fight.
Some supporters may have been taken in by TS's lofty ambitions at the beginning of this season but they wont be fooled again.
If the best we can hope for under the present regime is mid to lower League 1 then expect NYS to be half empty for most of next season.
This season has been a car crash and it would be really nice if the chairman would divulge his plans for turning things round.
That's always assuming he has any plans of course 😞

I believe I'm right in saying we had 17 consecutive seasons in the second division, now the Championship Cayton. I wasn't a regular for all of those but can certainly remember the days of Madden, Clish etc so maybe your Dad can? I do remember thinking as a kid this is boring and although I think they just missed out in getting to the top tier one year, the best I witnessed was about 6th. After this period though it was a period of decline. I hope this season doesn't turn out to be the start of something similar. I know we all have a different take on matters at the moment and for sure TS and his board have failed to consider the faithful fans who have been left to second guess what has happened to the club. Unless someone at the club becomes more open, they will lose fans for the long term. The choice is theirs of course and ours as fans to respond to what evolves.

All on here have the true interests of the club engrained in their hearts and that is why on occasions, we all get a little emotive and steamed. It would certainly help if the BS stopped and we were just told stuff as it is and not what TS wants us to hear. It is a little patronising by TS to expect fans to continue the blind faith approach. Most Rotherham fans would welcome the truth and they would support TS no matter how ugly the truth actually was.

There is the truth then there's the truth and it's got to the point no matter what is said nobody believes the chairman and some of that I understand.

However some on here just have there own agenda and YAK states it perfectly in my opinion.

You can't have a reasoned debate with some cause it's all about slating everyone or everything's at the club. I get as frustrated as everyone else and can see a lot is wrong.
I get accused of been blinkered and a happy clapper why cause I don't slate everyone.

I wrote a letter to the club a while ago and got a reasonable response.
    Why don't more do that??

yes it's bad yes we're all pi@@ed off and no not everyone on here cares deeply about the millers imo.
Some just want to be controversial and get attention.

    You know who you are.

True millers don't make me laugh.
