Mitrovic was guilty of a foul but there was clearly no elbowing, so the independent ref's were not acting independently; more likely as judges that had already made up their minds about elbowing.

If that player was elbowed he would not be sat on the floor rubbing his cheek before getting back up with absolutely no evidence of any real contact, at all.

There's much much worse on the pitch in almost every game that goes unchecked.
Mitro's major issue is not grasping that he's under SEVERE scrutiny and a marked man, by players and officials, plus a heavy helping of pundit bias to go along with media hype and frenzy.

It's strange how, in a successful team or a reasonably successful team, those players that are revered and do a lot worse than mitro ever did, are known as legends and hero's and anything they done was because the opposition done this and that and deserved it...and so on.

In a team that's struggling along and a club that's not exactly thought of in high regard, players like Mitro become psychopathic monsters and require extensive therapy.
Football is a funny old game and getting funnier as time goes on.
I'd laugh if it wasn't so serious.
    Fair shout.

If Mitro goes to a panel he'd done for on reputation alone now.

The lad has been here 3 season and as Supermac said he has learnt nothing. I don't dislike Mitro but playing with a big heart is not the answer. Both him and Shelvey need to go to anger management as they have both let the Club and fans down on many occasions.

This give them one more chance could result in us getting relegated
Same here and I said exactly the same thing..It was an elbow for no apparent reason????
Why the feck they are trying to blame MOTT is beyond me,,,Millions saw the fecker live..

Yes we cant trust him to control himself.
It's a shame really, playing in a 4,3,3 formation he has scored 6 goals in 6 games for Serbia in the World Cup qualifiers.
Serbias manager says he is their number one centre forward.

    Better not injury him.

That would be typical of Toon luck.

It's not about rose tinted glasses.
Nobody's saying he should escape punishment and nobody's saying he's an angel.
He's an aggressive player and in his position, has to be.

I asked you to check how many times he's been sent off for us to show that, although it seems he's Mr nutcase on the constant killing path, he's actually not quite what some people think.

As far as ability goes, it's not exactly rose tinted spectacles either but it is an ability to see that, if a player is used in the right way he could become prolific and a legend.
He's more than shown what he can do at times for us with the right service and more than shown it for Serbia...and yet his best years are ahead of him in all ways...including better control of his aggression.
