    Can't anyone play 442 anymore ?

    Foster
    Nyom
    Gibbs
    Evans
    McAuley
    Barry
    Polish bloke
    Philips
    Burke
    Rodriguez
    HRK

This would be my team when everybody fit in the 442 formation

We all have our own permutations of a side, but unless Pulis allows the attacking players creativity, nothing is going to change, period. It is a travesty as with some width and overlapping fullbacks (which in Gibbs and Nyom we have), together with the likes of Phillips, Chadli, Burke and Brunt being played in their natural positions, I reckon we could transform ourselves.

I have no issue with the full backs not bombing on and playing a rigid back 6 the issue is the 2 wide players having to track back and play almost as second fullbacks they have to cover a lot of ground and as we know we don't hold the ball up enough upfront so they very often get stuck halfway between tracking back and going forward, yesterday was a good example only twice in the first half did we isolate our wide man our wide men one on one against their full backs and they got round them and put crosses in, also like yesterday Morrison dropped back a soon as West Ham got the ball allowing their back 3 so much time on the ball if we pushed the front 4 players 20 yards further up the pitch we would create far more chances in my opinion.

Yesterday........what a waste of a day! If they had kept the band playing in the Fanzone during the match I would have gone back there to listen to them. I had my doubts over renewing my ST but did, hoping the new owner would finance the bringing in of attacking players and we would have more entertaining football. I really should have known better. Unless we have a change of philosophy, this will be my last season. Then, if I want to watch a game, I will go and support Kettering Town's revival; and spend more on going to rock concerts! For the time being, I have had enough, will be elsewhere for the next two games.

same old question who is out there that can keep us up and at least try to play attacking football. we need someone who tries to win games rather than not lose games

The issue is clubs that are in the prem are so scared of being relegated they will do anything to stay in, we are not the only team that like to keep things tight for instance Bournemouth have a lot of possession but pass a lot side ways and backwards which is also actually quite negative, my worry is this year the way Newcastle and Huddersfield have started it's quite difficult to see which 3 teams are going to be relegated and if we aren't careful we could easily get sucked into the relegation scrap.

Bristol City fans were yesterday raving about the performance of West Brom loanee Jonathan Leko as the Robins put Derby County to the sword.

Leko won a penalty as Lee Johnson’s side ran out 4-1 winners against the Rams, despite going a goal down.

Supporters in the red half of Bristol were waxing lyrical about the promising youngster, who was granted a loan move to the second tier after Albion completed their own transfer business before the deadline.

Many fans who were at Ashton Gate took to Twitter to praise Leko, with some among them questioning Albion’s decision to let him go in the first place.

Derby fans, too, rued being on the end of Leko’s trickery.

A flavour of the reaction below...
