By getting him on loan and taking the risk you have made him an attractive acquisition to other clubs , POSSIBLY pushing his value out of your reach .

You've taken the punt on him and because he's scored goals he's attracted interest and a bidding war .

Any chance you guys could have bought him in august instead of the loan ?

I take the point hindsight is a wonderful talent at a football club .
Apparently Barnsley have also entered the arena so that's that lol. UTFM!!!

So Barry Fry has said that his own chairman might not be happy with the deal???? Thats like Warney going in with a £1m bid without agreeing it with TS. Sounds dodgy to me.

Don't forget before his suspension we couldn't win a game for peanuts because the other teams easily stopped the route one. Let Moore go we can manage without him.
Ball wasn't in the team then so we went route 1 because Moore was our only striker.
You'll never convince me that Yates is a more effective player than Moore so if we don't get Kieffer then I hope we get an alternative powerful striker with goals in his locker.

Well if that's true, I'd rather he went to Barnsley than another League 1 club.
I'm not convinced he's good enough for the Championship at the moment though.

Hopefully not monkey with all due respect , my thinking is that if he isn't good enough for a competitor than why would he be good enough for ourselves .

Without wanting to sound all Wendy , in the light of changing ownership , substantial profit gained through player sales and given our league position I'm hopeful our recruitment is slightly less risky .

We don't have a stable league position to be speculating this window so much .

Mind you if his name is jumping off the Oakwell spreadsheet then who knows .

Think it's time to give up if we can't complete with Peterborough for a player we have already had on loan. It will also show that all the past supposedly million pound transfer bids for players such as Gregory, May and Bradshaw ect were a load of nonsense.

You've got to bear in mind Peterborough probably have a substantial war chest with the size of the fees they've gained over the last few years .

Danny Drinkwater was the premium example , still rattles me to this day we didn't buy him there and then instead of the loan from Man Utd .

If our clubs bought every loan player animal we would be out of business. Especially if you have SE incharge
