Regarding the thread topic I for one am glad he is backing CL. I have had enough of ****e players losing and getting away with it.

We need stability. Laszlo wants to be here. People at the club taking the piss should wise up.

I want a club that does what we did with Kerr and McLean. Namely: manager over players. Long term over short term.

If players don't perform it is them and not the managers that should pay the price.

Too many 1 year deal players who don't give a ****. No manager worth his salt accepts failure the way players do (because they expect the manager to pay the price)

    Enough is enough.

Unless we are so far adrift next season, I'm letting Laszlo put a long term plan in place.

I don't want United to become a comedy club sacking every 6 months.

In the courier interview Martin seemed to giving a lot of details like the present level of debt, where transfer millions had been spent etc. A breath of fresh air

The main engagement is telling people what is going on

Next thing would be that ST is selling shares - to whom we don’t know.

Can’t see a foreign investor would necessarily have our interests at heart and might be looking to make money

Positive thing is Martin is talking a good game so far

I'm not convinced by the manager whatsoever. The whole Robson at right back, Scobbie at left back when we have a right back on the bench that we've pulled back from a loan deal, signing players who clearly are nowhere near good enough and some of his team selections and tactics have me completely baffled. If we don't go up he has to go imo. We've lost 17 points to St.Mirren since he came in. That's ****ing outrageous.

I desperately want MM to turn things around and hope to phuck he is the real deal. He's gave good pressers so far and said all the right things and I'm 100% happy to "suck it and see" where we go with this.

I do have 1 bit of nagging doubt however.

There has simply been too much going on at our club recently for this to be as straightforward as it seems - the only thing that has actually changed in the past few weeks/months id that MM shareholding has increased off the back of Justine Mitchell selling her shares, we have appointed him as chairman and we have sold off completely a club asset to him.

ST is still the owner. We have had some talk of him selling his shareholding and no longer being involved with the club (which is what 99% of our support want) but that's all it is at the moment - talk. it wouldn't be the first time the snake has said one thing and done another now would it. His right hand man for years has moved up, ST has dropped a ceremonial title.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that this is all a big PR exercise and that we will have Season Ticket renewal notifications coming through soon to co-incide with the new "feel good factor" brought about by this change. I really do think it could be as simple as that. I think the club really needs a cash injection soon and is hoping it comes from season ticket pre-sales boosted by the illusion of a new regime.

I also have a fear that the GA sale was little more than removal of assets from the club's umbrella in preparation for an administration event which may not look likely now, (certainly if you take MM at face value which I have no real reason not too) but may become a real concern if we stay down and then don't go up with what we have already been told will be a severely reduced budget and the same manager who is currently floundering despite being handed a large budget in January...

For all the re-assuring talk about no admin there is a really worrying statement in his courier interview saying that the sale of Gussie was to pay off debt but also "to provide working capital until the end of the season." This clearly indicates that the club was, prior to the sale of the GA, not in a position to meet it's financial obligations this season. We have staved that off by selling an asset, but we have none left to sell now so what do we do when whatever is left from that sale runs out?

It's perhaps a reflection on the state of the relationship between club/board/fans that I even suspect this sort of stuff but I don't think any of the above is too outlandish. Would be interested to see what everyone else thinks of my points above.

No Arab would ever come out with that nonsense "always" and as for not being good enough to stay up if promoted, we wouldn't have the same team, why do some people not get that obvious fact, getting up is the main thing then the rest we can worry about after

Oh and cheers noah for the tip

It will never be the time to talk about amalgamation. It shouldn't happen.

I'm (slightly) softer on sharing facilities - take passion out of it and it makes a great deal of business sense, but for me to swallow it, it really would need to be a 50/50 venture, not us renting a fun property/facility with Fun branding, dark blue seats and all that ****.

As for Shedka's ramblings - I can't really make sense of his post and I'm glad he has me on ignore - it means he won't reply with his usual nonsense and we might get some rational debate. What has Noah (a fun poster) got to do with this?

I know he'll still read this so for his benefit - I would put you on ignore as well pal, but I've never let someone on an internet forum get to me so much before that I resort to childish nonsense like that xxx
