Blueheeler, whatever it was had moved away and the sound had faded, before I had the chance to get out of bed and look.

I've never mentioned aliens or beings from somewhere else, I think there are far more likely explanations than extra-terrestrial activity.

We live outside Clitheroe in a fairly isolated area, on a cul-de- sac, not near any main roads, there is no traffic during the night, this noise was not the result of road traffic, neighbours or an individual, it was overhead, quite loud and moving slowly. Or at least that is how it seemed at the time.

I still have no idea what it was, my best guess would be a plane flying slow and low, possibly a Hercules, something like that, with the engine sound distorted, possibly by unusual atmospheric conditions. But I've never heard anything remotely like it above the house at any time of day or night, despite being under a flight path and seeing and hearing planes fly overhead constantly.

All this conjecture, however, sinkov did say that it was a UFO and from what has been written so far, I think that he is 100% correct.

Sure you are right, I was only joking in earliest posts. However as Sinkov didn’t actually see anything any plane or helicopter or flying bedstead would be unidentified. Are we trying out the Harrier jump me successor I wonder?

Not that keen on Champagne actually BT, apart from when the bookies are paying on the racecourse, I rarely touch the stuff. We don't have a bath Norder, it's still a mystery, which is how I expect it will remain.
