Strange one today, they'd only gone 30k and Sky were already 3 minutes down on the leaders, so taking it quite leisurely really. I think it was Quickstep who upped the pace, and almost immediately Luke Rowe was off the front and out the back. WTF was the matter with him ?

    .

    The Final Mountains....stage 19:Lourdes - Laruns. 200,5km.

another damp squib....or will there, can there be a far out attack (Tourmalet) from a GC threat - Quintana, Roglic, Landa, Dumoulin etc....anyone.anything that'll break the controlling Skytrain, take some time and make the TT worth the watch....I hope so.

How did Dumoulin win that stage by 1.78 seconds when he was 1.78 seconds slower

    Froome 40’50” 41
    Dumoulin 40’52”19

was confusing - but looks like the time stopped before he crossed the line....then you can count a couple of seconds before he actually does - would have made it very tight - and am not sure if there was a complete second in it - would like to see the exact times...a little odd though.

Those were the times that came up on th TV as both crossed the line. The time difference went red as it had done for the others who were over, then a moment late went green showing 1.78 under Froome. The timer recorder to hundredths of a second so I fount there is any fiddle factor. I have the photo showing the above. I know Dumoulin is French and they hate Froome.

The story was a Gendarme put his foot across the line before Froome crossed it. So that’s 3.5 seconds it took to travel 10m lol
