Good player maybe, but not good enough for Ipswich who've released him perhaps partly due to his injury record

It concerns me, rightly or wrongly, that in the season where CW wishes to take the club to the next level, one of our targets, a 30 year old seasoned player, requires a trial to prove suitability.

As much as anything else, the message this trial sends out to me is not one of a club moving forward, but one that is surely struggling to compete, even with the bottom end Championship clubs

Perhaps the decent signings may yet still arrive and I truly hope so, but I fear this may now not be the case

Some bod on a Millwall forum claims we’ve signed Gregory for £1.6m - but no-one else seems to know anything about it.
    Just saying like.

No. 548 on the list of players we've signed, gonna sign or have made a bid for. Why not just leave it and wait for who we actually do sign, if anybody.

Read about the injury record and it was compounded by his 3 hour commute from home to Ipswich, obviously less time with the physio's.

In the only game i saw him in last season Ipswich at home,he was very dangerous and i was glad when he was substituted.

Gregory would be an alternative to Hogan and a replacement for Sharp.

Bit of a mediocre signing. But he's a Blade and Wilder knows him from Sunday league so I guess we have no choice.

I would be happy if we also signed a younger up and coming striker like Mohammed Eisa as our second New striker. To be honest Gallagher is not exactly prolific so we should swerve is stupid and greedy demands.

At the moment I'll just be glad if we get a player in. McGoldrick is no risk and worth a look at even with his injury record. LG is disappointing but if its a permanent then it suggests we've given up on the likes of Hogan who was an injury risk and on ridiculous money. Problem is if it is permanent where does that leave us getting a CB? Thought Egan was the target and I'd presumed he was the permanent we were after.

disagree about gregory lst not a dissapointing signing imo people are going to have to come to terms with the fact we wont be signing top end championship strikers we just cant pay their salaries i think lee gregory would play his heart out for the club and if given a decent run in the side will back him to get 15 to 20 goals next season utb ftp
