I think im along the same lines as Mellow in that I like towell and agree he was a good asset last season. That said, I dont see him as head and shoulders above the rest of our squad and if the rumours of £12k pw wages are true (and they seem credible) then perhaps it is time to move on. He aint that good.

Its fair to assume our top earners are on £5/£6k pw. If he'd sign for that it'd be good business, but I very much doubt he would and it looks like brighton are not minded to go down the loan route this time.

Could we perhaps turn our attentions to duane holmes at scunny? Presumably that would entail a higher transfer fee but more realistic wages.

Good shout on Holmes again but I see him more of a right winger than midfielder. Could push Taylor though as he as no one vying for the right wing other than Forde who, doesn't do enough for me.

I said straight after the semi play offs that Holmes should be the one we bring in... He is championship standard already and would fit into our mould perfectly. GET HIM SIGNED WARNEY

Agree with the above and have always had reservations about Towell. Don't think we should sign someone permanently who has a name like a Sheffield Wednesday supporter.

Richie Towell would thrive in the Championship, with the extra time he would get on the ball,it amazes me when i read some of the negative comments regarding RT,he was class for us last season, apart for one or two games, and in those games i think it was because he was trying to hard.
