Also remember Mowatt and Moncur are out of contract at the end of the season. I’d only expect there’s a chance of one resigning for us and that’s a slim chance so makes sense to look for replacements and get them bedded in.

We had a taste of this when the club tried to sign the two young French lads last January .

The position the club were in at the time had me bewildered as to why we were recruiting development lads when the real focus was to stay in the championship .

There are times when as a club you can manage both ends of the market I'd suggest one foot in league one wasn't one of them and unless another striker comes in this side of the loan window this isn't either given we want to challenge for promotion .

Failure to bring another striker in will hurt us in my opinion .

Don't come ruerin to me when Thiam and Victor can't hit a cows @ss with a banjo and we start dropping down the league .
