Cant remember if it were a fan or from the club, but Alloa were identified as a difficult place to get points. I think a first 9 target of 6 wins was set by the club, so fingers crossed this ends up as a bonus point!

This league is gonna end up being so tight this season, and i think Alloa are gonna be a thorn in many a clubs side.

[QUOTE=chiefers;39003295]I’m sick of this bogey team crap
    It was Dumbarton last season
So what if the pitch was narrow
We should have enough to see the likes of Alloa off

Yep this sums it up completly ( editited the manager bit as boring now)

Just as well he ain't picking the team, I would suspect that the tactical genius would instruct the groundsman to bring the touchline in to match Alloa's pitch.

He picked s team most of us would have picked; he played with two up front which many on here have been crying out for; when it wasn’t working he took off a defensive midfielder and brought on an attacking midfielder; we scored; curran then lucky to not be sent off for 2nd yellow; so he subbies him and returns to original formation to see out last 15 minutes.
Not sure i would have done any different under circumstances.

ND I agree with this to a point. Bt the sluggish approach by the team, combined with slow stuttering negative play is a concern.

Alloa are similar to teams like Raith, Arbroath and Dumbarton - they are organised and can occasionally get the better of bigger teams.

The problem is this is now twice in short time frame that Alloa have drawn with United - if they manage to get a draw again next week in the cup match, questions will need to be asked.

It's not a disaster, thats 3 league games now without a defeat, but to win the league you can't afford to draw too many games against teams who will most likely finish in the bottom 4 this season.
