The club is in good shape. It begs to nobody other than in house.
It certainly could be run on a little bit more of a looser rein but it's a real fine line as to how loose is loose in terms of long term gain rather than potential short term gain for long term pain...and this is far from pain, other than negative football being served up that I personally hate, but is set up to easily change with what we have.

However, no need to argue that.
To go after the Keegan type years of the Sir Bobby type years of close but not quite close enough, will take monumental finances that is unsustainable for this club under its present owner without him putting his own hand in his own personal pockets.

Other than that we need an owner who can basically bankroll the club.
Ashley isn't going to do it and he's not willing to go too far ahead in trying even with the clubs money as it stands because I don't even know if he knows what he wants in terms of staying or going.

However, it will be what it will be and until then it's a case of accepting what is, because there's nothing anyone can do other than Ashley or a new potential owner....or if the fans are hell bent on wanting him out with the MP in the city, then buy him out and run it as a fans club, then any future issues have to be solved by the fans and the city itself and fingers can only be pointed at each other as a group.

That's open to debate, as always.
A case of no budging by both sides.
Ashley telling Rafa to commit and Rafa telling Ashley to commit.

No right or wrong about it unless it's put down to interpretation by each individual.
The consensus is plain to see what a group mindset on it is... but that does not tell the entire story, if everyone is honest.

George caulkin (telegraph journo) highly respected and toon fan, claims there has been genuine interest and efforts made to buy tge club, by 6 seriously interested parties.

But, as happens everytime, they either get ignored by Ashley or brushed aside

He has no intention of selling the club, as it makes him too much money
He has less intention of investing in the club, as he will not spend his money.

The ground is tatty and worn, the training ground / academy are run down, tue VALUE of the club is reducing at the same rate as the price is increasing.

The future is bleak, there are real dark days ahead of us.

Fans want Ashley out. Fine. Organise as many meetings and rallies and boycott's of shops etc etc, but ask yourself if it serves a real purpose in getting the fans a better deal than what they currently have.
The answer as it stands is... no it doesn't... because there's no guarantees for the betterment as it stands, let alone nobody willing to actually put their money where their mouths are to actually take it over.

Nobody can seriously expect Ashley to just hold his hands up and say " ok fans I'll leave and you can all take the club over as I will let you have it for nothing."

    Right?

Basically trying to get him out may work if there's a buyer waiting....but guess what?
What do you think any buyer will do when they see just what happens if things don't go the fans way?

Anyone interested in this club will need to have a mindset of basically sugar daddying it. A Mr blank cheque type or a bank borrowing consortium type that will basically mortgage the club to give the fans what they want, or what the new owners will perceive they want.

Anyone other than that will struggle in the short term because, in short order we will have transfer fees that not only break the records fans want but eclipse them... and also wages that go into the realms of ridiculous in terms of £100,000 a week and more for many that will become unsustainable for this club.

    I'm in turmoil.
Do I want to be a plastic club with a sugar daddy owner who can match the elites and become part of them with the same flouting of the rules or do I want to carry on having a football club that gets supported by fans who love it like we do now rather than fans who profess to love it until the wheels fall off.

Until one shows up then accept Ashley owns the club and there's little anyone can do until he decides.
I must be in the minority that thinks we can do a lot better with what we have as it stands...but there you go.
    Spoken like a true submisive.

Rangers fans became militant - he ****ed off in short order, we didn't and hes still here 11 years later.

You sound like comical Ali during the gulf war with the bombs going off and tanks behind him telling watchers "no problem, everything is fine".

1)Yes, you are in the minority. We could do much better with basically any other owner.
2)I'd take a plastic owner today throwing money in and being called plastic by others. Why wouldn't I? We get fans now when we are shiit so if the wheels came off we'd still have fans in the future - would be shiit having to watch the likes of Ronaldo and Messi every week. Its like those diks who say they wouldn't want to win the lottery because the money would ruin their life.
3)100k a week wages is not unsustainable with 130 million sky money and a proper look at our commercial strategy which is very poor (on purpose) - the red Manchester club recouped Pogbas fee within 6 months in far east shirt sales alone. Its all relative.
4)Its been pointed out to you that the fans don't want a blank cheque just fitting spending based on player sales and income. Are you lying on purpose or just plain stupid not to accept this point?
5)We will never get a better deal from Ashley. This is it. He is at war with us - and its not open conflict, its a sneaky guerilla, ambush combat, its plain to see so we need to be at war with him making it as difficult as possible. I dont want fk all anymore from him other than to go.
6)There was a buyer but he wants to charge the buyer more than tbe clubs worth to ensure they wont buy it. Why would he sell? Hes doing the club 6 ways sideways financially. If the price was right there would always be a buyer.
7)You seem like a nice bloke however, your views pollute my mind and are wrong at almost every count.
