I don't know, sickly. This time may be for good? You were one of those decent posters who left MB. Others were KKilmore (who may have died?), Andy Monium, Ian (although he may have returned - not sure), Towdlad, Ridgeway Kid and Towd Codger. Lbj and gwru are hardly fitting replacements!

KKilmore was great I did wonder what happened to him. I may be out of contact from tomorrow as I have to go to China again. getting too old for this sheet.

His disappearance was so sudden, so final and so without any warning I fear the worst. Another visit to China! No doubt the Secret Service will now have you on file.

Gwru not your style monty. You don't particularly go on the gambling threads or say players are good when they are crap. Neither are you LBJ being obsessed with crap managers and their poor tactics. So its a sincere(?) from me

And from me, roly. I have no interest in horse racing whatsoever. I won't touch internet gambling but if there was a bookie nearby I would do my usual football bets (there isn't so I don't) which was usually pick 5 correct scores for £1. Unlike Kempo I also have no interest in either cruises or stock market investments.
I have been watching football for well over 50 years but even so I don't know much about it in tactical terms so I rarely comment on players or managers.

I watched an old interview Alan Whicker did with J. Paul Getty, at the time the richest man in the world.

Whicker asked him if he was a gambler, he said:

"Gambling is risk-taking, it might be said that the owner of a casino gambles, and takes risks, but he has the odds in his favour, in other words, it's intelligent gambling, now to gamble against a casino, I would call unintelligent gambling and I never try to devote my time to unintelligent risk-taking."

Whicker said "so if you wanted to gamble?"

    Getty: "I'd buy a casino".
