No, it's not just you. He did well. Got his tackles in, offered decent cover, went forward when required, got back well and kept going. Would I like to see him play left back for a number of games or over the course of 90 minutes? Preferably not no, but he did do well over 45 minutes the other night.

On the bench I would have both Burke and Leko as impact players to replace any of the front 4 who aren't doing their stuff on the day.

For me that strengthens the defence but still gives us sufficient goal threat.

Fully agree, I do not wish DM to be booted out. He is learning, we are still in the hunt, rubbish talk for him to go. How other clubs have been criticised by people on here for calling for the coaches head when they are doing well. Patience folks, patience.

My gripe is that we are never the full package. We are either defence minded, as under (I don’t want to write his name) and now scoring goals and leaking goals. Is it not to difficult to get it right.

Give the bloke a chance, see where we are in another 10 games, if not in danger, then we go another 10 and so on. Not many thought we would go straight back up any way. We are doing better than most of us thought we would do. It was a hammering, let’s see what happens this weekend!

Almost spot on, but I am not sure about including Bartley. That said he may be okay in a back 4. If not move Dawson inside and play Mears, who reportedly played well in midweek at right back. I don't think we should have sent Wilson out on loan again.

Discussing if it should be Mears or Bartley just about sums up where we are with our defence right now.
