I don't believe for one minute bids have been received for Thiam but it does help to keep supporters on board
I have it on very good authority that the club has received "substancial offers" for Cauley Woodrow & Kenny Dougall but are not prepared to sell them
    Now disprove that

When they made these big 'Bosman' based changes to the old transfer market, I feared it would hinder us lower league clubs, and it definitely has.
Although choosing to be a selling club like we do is a different matter, and surely we dont have to do it now with such wealthy owners!.
Firstly acido the wealth of the owners is irrelevant , it's their money and I'm certainly not going to tell them how they should spend it .

We will always be a selling club but the point is more to do with where these transfer fees end up , re-invested back in to the club or leave the business for good .

Why are the accounts never published in full and why are transfer fees incoming and paid out always undisclosed .

These are my own personal grievances right now .

The clubs future health and prosperity on the field come before profits leaving the business .

I want to see more clarity and accountability and I'm not comfortable with the way things are right now in that respect .

If Potts brings in £1.8m then I want to see proof the money needs to be used to keep the business sustainable and if that proves to be correct then fair enough .

However getting kept in the dark just arouses suspicion especially after the previous owners windfall to his family .

It must not happen again .

They may own the club but they have nothing without the fans , zilch in fact .

They may not want to see that play out as a fact and to tell the truth neither do I but I'm not standing back on this matter .

The last one got away with it but it won't be so easy this time around looking across both fans message boards this last week for the present owners .

The clubs truth only stands up if Woodrow and Dougall's agents confirm what the club have stated .

Otherwise it's fake news as far as I'm concerned exile .

I understand what your saying Animal, and I also want them to be more open/honest with us when it comes to these big January player firesales.
The 'undisclosed' thing happens for certain reasons of course, but it offers no trust whatsoever does it to us fans.
I don't expect the new wealthy owners to spend madly, but I wish they wouldn't sell madly either, especially when we don't need to. And even worse when they choose to do it in the middle of a possible promotion/play off season!!.

My desire acido is to see everyone connected to the club , owners , head coaches , CEO's and fans on the same page with regard to this club's future prosperity .

I'm fairly certain that this isn't the case and you can trace this back to January 2017 and events since that time .

I firmly believe that everyone needs to be singing from the same hymn sheet in football to be successful .

    It's a proven fact .

Yes of course, but what should and more importantly what can everybody do to achieve this ?.

January '17 won't ever be forgotten will it, and I still wonder now if we could have seriously challenged for the Play offs that season, had we kept every player on board!.

Acido I watched the remarkable " Daydream Believers " DVD over the holiday .

John Dennis says to Danny Wilson after we went 5 or 6 games without a win during September and October of 1996 " is there anything we can help you with "

" I think we can get John Hendrie if you think he's what we need "

The rest of is of course is history as they say .

A chairman working with his manager to do what he can to improve the club on the field .

We live in hope acido but that's what it takes for this club to achieve success .

At this moment in time I'm not seeing that narrative .

That said apparently Conway has told fans today at Burnley that there will be signings this month that we will like .

We will see of course .

Back to OP , Thiam , Cavare, Pinnock , and Mowatt in particular were excellent for us today , good all round team effort ( Hedges n Moore apart ) great day out , deserved at least a draw , Burnley a welcoming club , stewards and Officials very pleasant , good drink in the large tent before the game , well organised , downside moronic Red/ s fans ? Throwing a smoke bomb in the last few minutes , mindless behaviour , hit one of my mates causing damage to his clothing , and much discomfort to many around us choking on the fumes i hope the culprit is found and banned from future games , Moron/s tarnishing our Town ,

You're absolutely right Animal it is fake news I just made it up to illustrate that the club can tell us anything & we can't disprove any of it
Don't recall Brad's agents saying owt about his move to PNE [Not being privy to local news I may have missedit however]
Transparency & BFC are strangers & always have been don't you think?

To be honest I've made my own criticisms on here about John Dennis in the past, and especially about his time which led to our relegation AND administration in '02.

But that idea of him going out of his way to talk to the manager (Wilson), with some concerns and ideas to help the promotion push, that sounds ace.

And I agree, I don't believe that will ever happen again here between the chairman/owner & manager/coach!.
