I take it back, it wasn't a daft question, I see why you asked it, I was coming at it from a different angle ie the angle that no head coach is safe etc

Certainly the new owners won't have the same loyalty to RN that MM would have had. They've invested a lot of money already and more to come, they're going to expect results.

During ADMIN 2 there were DEE hoards.
    coming on here,invading our board,
trying to justify millions wrote AFF,
i sat in the gallery having a laugh.

I decided to join and did so with glee.
happy to be nicknamed Hammer O the Dee,
halcyon days i will never forget,
Ciftci rolling the ball into SEVCO'S net.

    My problems started with ST,
but only noticed by the DEE,
I took pelters from this board,
    my warning's derided or ignored.

Things have never been the same,
Organ Grinder and his Monkey are to blame,
fans that backed them with heads in the sand,
made Dundee United the laughing stock of the land.

In the swinging sixties i did frequent,
a club way above the establishment,
they played in the famous Black and White,
and beat Barcelona out of sight.

I am sorry but i refuse to engage,
with players that are merely stealing a wage,
    under Jerry,Jim or Craig Levein,
that is something we never seen.

TTT is right and there's not more to say,
i no longer follow home or away,
its the end of an era and i suffered no fools,
but i did miss Sid James and Chips O Toole.

    WASC,FACT.

Not going to see United play doesn't exclude you from having an opinion, everyone is entitled to one of them. The discussion we are having is nothing to do with that. If you want to post, post, if not, don't.

I think you are deliberately using some hyperbole to make your point but not having seen much of the team play does detract from it. A lot of the players Csaba signed aren't very good but I think to say every single one is them is garbage is wrong.

    Is it??

Lets take a look at his signings...

Curran - ****e, binned to the fun
Barton - One of the worst players ever to wear the shirt
    Rabitsch - Garbage
Wardrop - Took a single game to be found out
Aird - Pretty pish, other than a decent delivery, contributes nothing
Clark - Permacrock and lets be honest, when he has played has looked distinctly average
    Frans - A 6ft 5" ****ebag who can't defend
    Bouhenna - As above
    Rakovan - Utterly dreadful
Seigrist - Again, a terrible goalkeeper, saved by the fact the his direct competitor was utterly, utterly mince
Safranko - The one signing he made who is a little better than average. It's a good job he's decent in the air though because he's rubbish with his feet!
Booth - Rotten, can't defend and stinking going foraward.

I'd say GB's assessment is pretty spot on TBF and before you try to patronise me, I go home and away!

For now, yes. In the summer, maybe not. My suspicion is that, this time next year, we'll have a different manager, and be sitting no higher than 3rd in The Championship, with only 3 (maybe 4) of the current squad still on the park.

You’ve missed out Loemba and there were the earlier signings like Lyng.

TBF id say Aird, Clark, Frans, Bouhenna, Siegrist, Booth and Safranko are not garbage.

I’d really like to see Aird play more as you can’t throw away that number of assists not coming from elsewhere in the team and he’s good at set pieces.

The signing of the top 4 there like Barton should not really have occurred IMO if csaba had done his homework!

Aird goes into hiding too often but he can cross a decent ball,I’d like to see us build at least a spine of the team(even if we fail to go up,this is something our last load of managers have failed to do),as for pavol he’s requires decent service and support from midfield and imo he’s being harshly judged so far.

I've got the distinct impression that our goals and chances have dried up since Aird was dropped from the side. He may not be exactly what we are looking for long term, but he can deliver a good cross and a good corner. He played assist in a lot of our goals earlier this season. I think he could've continued to make a contribution in our promotion bid this season.

I'm behind Robbie and still think that in the long term he's our man.

However, announcing to the world that half the team wouldn't be here by the end of January when he did (early December) wasn't the best idea. I felt it was a risk at the time, and it looks a though his public criticism of the squad backfired somewhat. He should have waited until he got new guys in before trashing current squad.
