What garden tax is this you are referring to Mick? Never heard of it, it sounds like a crazy idea.

Without Googling this Mick, can you tell me what the anti semitism complaint was about the labour party? What exactly was the offence? If you have to google this then that just says it all about what you read/watch. Just genuinely asking you Mick and not trying to pick an argument with you btw.
I don't know anyone on here that has said 'lets get BoJo in'

Your'e right about the Garden Tax it is a crazy idea. It's all part of a package that will for instance increase the tax paid by landlords. All very laudable you might think. What then happens is landlords put up rent to cover the extra cost. Landlords no worse off renters poorer. You might not like it but it's the way of the world.

I couldn't explain what the anti Semitism row is about but I do know if respected members of his own party are not at all happy there has to be something in it. Doesn't there?

That’s just not credible and there’s plenty in the Labour Party and who have bailed out who hate Corbyn and his cronies and their treatment of more moderate MP’s and Jewish MP’s is terrible.

I’m not sure there’s anyone in that party now to possess the b o l l o x that Kinnock did in the mid 80’s when he fronted up to Derek Hatton and the Trotsky element infecting the party.

I hope you haven’t got much of a garden Des because one of Corbyn’s brilliant ideas is to tax gardens.
I have only got a small one Mick, our garden isn't very big either.

In the past people have been taxed on how many chimneys and windows they have. The poll tax was the most unfair tax as people with millions paid the same amount as those on the breadline.
Garden tax is a new one on me, i can only assume it is about enviromental issues, you and i both live in nice areas, but developers build on any piece of greenbelt for profit, not caring about the impact on wildlife and the lives of people living in these places.

As i say i am middle of the road, i think people who study hard deserve the best jobs with the best pay, i think it's crazy that a darter can earn more than a surgeon. I am a Brexiteer, despite voting Labour so i am at odds with my parties beliefs.
I vote Labour because they are the only party that represents the ordinary people, whatever leader we have. The Tory voters don't mind if Boris is a buffoon, or Gove an horrible insidious little Goblin, they vote Conservative because that is their party.

Years ago a chap called William the Bar Steward conquered England. He took all the land and titles off the English and gave them to his friends, a load of other Bar Stewards. Down the years the titles have been handed down through generations right up to present day.
The Normans they didn't fade into history, they are still here, The Tory Party, born into the gentry, and they are still Bar Stewards.

But you are picking an argument by telling me “not to Google because it says everything about what I read and watch” which in fact it doesn’t.

You yourself just need to Google “Corbyn’s garden tax” which will bring you up the story from various outlets including the Guardian which I presume will give enough Left Wing balance for you?

The anti Semitism has been all over ALL news channels including BB1 and Channel 4 both of which lean to the Left.

I’m not good with names these days but the case in particular was the pregnant female MP from the Liverpool area,Luciana Berger I think.

She suffered terribly and received strong support from the likes of Owen Jones who’s as “Proper Left” as you can get in the traditional and acceptable sense of the word!

I meant to say is to debate rather than argue and getting abusive.

Okay, garden tax - if that is what labour have put forward then it is stupid. But have they put this forward?

The anti semitism row, if you can’t provide specifics about the abuse but only provide reasons why others have left and say some editor has offered Luciana support then what are we to know? I think we see headlines and a lot of click bait and led to think and believe this and that happened without knowing the specifics. I’ll reiterate this, any wrongdoing should get the full wrath of the law.

This is nothing to do with click bait Regis.

The anti semitism debate has been over all forms of media and mainstream television including Daily Politics and Questiontime and even last Thursday the very moderate Labour MP who I respect Liz Kendall was discussing this on This Week with Andrew Neil and others.

You’d need to be living in a cave not to know of this whole anti Semitic row enveloping Labour......it’s nothing to do with “Fake News”,it’s party members themselves like Margaret Hodge and Ian Austin who are bringing it to the fore.

When Jo Bland said that thing about attacking Farage with acid - that is a specific bit of info that we all agree to be wrong, we clearly know what it is.

If there has been anti semitic abuse, what are the specifics of that abuse - I want to know. I don’t want to hear these bunch of mainstream media tell me there is another row within the labour party but yet not tell us what it was or said. I take it you don’t know these specifics? But you gone by what the broadcasters have said, that’s fair enough. If you were in court for a crime you didn’t commit and the judge went by hearsay, i’m sure you’d accept his ratio decidendi.

Anyway, why hasn’t this incompetent government stepped in to solve this issue regarding this BBC license row? Let’s just keep them in government shall we.

This is pointless conversation because you obviously want to hear it from the horses mouth because it suits your agenda Regis.

That’s fine,I’ve a life to lead and I can’t be arsed to continue with this so you win.

I’m to the Right and you’re to the Left, let’s just leave it at that.

Tom Watson has gone on the record as saying anti Semitism is a “huge problem” in the Labour Party. He’s taken charge of an investigation that is looking in to it.

Hilary Benn, Stephen Kinnock and Catherine West recently signed a letter to the Jewish Labour Movement apologising for, ‘letting our Jewish supporters and members down

Fair enough Stripes for pointing this out. There may be no doubt that there has been some abuse, i’m just intrigued to know what it is that happened or said that was abuse. I’m not a leftie as some might make out and have always been neutral. So much is talked about this anti semitism that the right wingers in this board seem to highlight a lot, but they don’t even know what it said. They forget the conservatives and accusations made of them about their islamaphobia.. you see, i’ve never brought this up nor do I care about. How many of these right wingers really care about anti semitism, jack schit. It is just point scoring on this board.
