With Cameron, Mogg, Johnson and their ilk, all you have and will have is an Eton Mess...

Can you possibly conceive in anyway DD, how BoJo is going to unite a multi-cultural Brexit divided country and encourage our citizens to actually rediscover pride in our country?
This is not the Germans knocking at the door with a mostly white British majority rallying under Winston Churchill to defeat the Hun. This is an overly privileged eejit suffering chronically from the Dunning-Kruger Effect. We are well and truly phucked!

Like you Dave, I'm continually shocked by the number of people who seem to despise their own country, are afraid of it being in control of it's own destiny, and are willing it to fail. And for whatever reason, they're all on the Left.

I'm proud of my country and want only the best for it. Remember, me, my family and friends all live here - why would anyone want us to become poorer?

But we are a divided country at the moment.

Some think that Brexit will make most of us poorer and less well regarded in the world with much less co-operation with our neighbors which could result in friction and conflict.

Some think that we will be better off trading with China, USA etc instead and to cut a lot of ties with our neighbours, and sink or swim as a result.

I don't think that, just because we don't agree with what is best way forward, that one side can play the "I am more patriotic than you" card.
that is a very poor argument and totally wrong.

Oh bollox! All I've heard so far from BoJo is spend, spend, spend. Despite promising 20,000 policemen, new high speed rail links across the north, not one mention yet of Sinkov's "Money Tree" on here! It's a phucking laugh a minute on here.

Out of the EU with no deal and that's £39 billion saved, annual payment of £20 billion to EU stops, that's £59 billion, knocking £6 billion off the foreign aid bill takes it up to a nice round £65 billion, and we're still sending enough abroad to fund every tinpot dictator and banana republic in the world. Cancel the ludicrous HS2 project and god knows how much we'll save, but it must take the total to well over £100 billion.

Now what's that you were saying about a money tree BT ?

This Tory government put in our Statute Books we MUST give 0.7% of our GDP in Foreign Aid so that £6 billion you have mustered is bollox.

This sitting Tory government of which BoJo was a Cabinet Minister has so far spunked £30 billion on the ludicrous HS2 project. It needs the same again to complete this nonsense, so either way we blow £30 billion or spunk another £30 billion. Herr Shapp is inclined to sPunk another £30 billion. OMG we really need Corbyn's Money Tree more than ever now!

Continue living in LaLa land sinkov, because our exit bill from the EU will cost us another £50 billion at least. Your £100 billion has just vanished before your eyes and we need the same amount to rebuild the Royal Navy, which these stupid bloody Tories of which BoJo was a Cabinet Minister have diminished to the size of the Fleetwood fishing fleet.

Yes I know Foreign Aid is on the Statute Book BT, have you forgotten already that it was me that made you aware of this fact only a matter of weeks ago ? So get it off the Statute Book then, when Boris has a workable majority he can ignore the squeals from the virtue signalling PC Brigade and repeal the Act, it's not set in stone.
The two spending items you specifically mention, police and transport infrastructure in the north, are both areas where you have demanded increased spending yourself, it also signals an end to 'Austerity', which you have called for, Boris proposes more money for education, surely that satisfies your good self, who has moaned on this msgboard that schools can't even afford to buy books.

An end to Austerity, more spending on the police, more spending on education, more spending on northern transport infrastructure, taking us out of the EU. Five things there you have been demanding for years there BT, with Boris, you ask, you get, and still you moan. It's quite bizarre, seems there's just no pleasing some people.

Just to give you a deeper sense of foreboding and gloom, I've just realised if as expected, the Tories lose the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election on Thursday to the Liberal Democrats, the Government’s working majority will fall from two to one.

BoJo will get phuck all through Parliament. He might as well start packing now.
