    Rafa Benitez.

    Are you joking?

    All of them.

Get your head out the sand.

I think he will be sacked this season but not before it’s too late. 8 games to go.

It’s not the time to experiment with a Championship Standard Manager but no one else wanted the job

Bruce will blunder along in his own words “Giving it our best shot” until it is too late. I for one am not bothered about getting relegated it’s happened twice before under Ashley’s tenure

Posters wanting to give him three years which could be a Premiership season and two in the Chimpo or worse.

If Bruce stays, we'll get relegated. The longer we leave it before making a change, the less chance any new guy will have to turn things around.

Look at Shearer...no-one knows what sort of manager he'd make because the damage done was already so severe because of that bunch of absolute cowards we had playing for us that even Alex Ferguson couldn't have saved us.

Mind, it's a moot point because he's going nowhere.

    This is the funny bit.
Bruce is apparently no good after 6 games because the football isn't up to standard....which is very true by the way.
However he does need time. He literally does need time to get that team and squad performing to his tune and not the tune that was set out for them by the previous manager.
He also needs to get the newbies into the swing and we all know it can take a bit of time.

Having said that, it seems to some that he's simply not good enough or a big enough name and what not to take this club anywhere.
So I ask you all this:
    Who is?
Don't say Rafa because he had us going backwards.

Big name managers want big money transfers and that comes with big wages.
Or is it that, we don't need a big name manager, just a competent one?

What is it that people actually want because it seems nothing is good enough. Managers not being given a chance and yet others idolised for doing nothing....yet touted as being a success. It literally beggars belief.

Yeah call for Bruce's head but only do it if he does badly over the entire season and can't get a tune.
We're on 5 points and 3 points away from 7th playing fairly disorganised cautious football at times.

I say we can get better and better and with that will come results and better entertainment, plus a climb up that table.

You've imagined Bruce has been a good manager and an attacking one...that is your fault alone. His record in the Premier league is just over a point per game...relegation or just above...he plays defensive football..doesn't score many, doesn't concede a lot...

You ask for people to forget Rafa, yet keep bringing him up...we were in no way going backwards...we were top 6 in the form table for the second half of the season...he knew how to use Almiron amongst others...he set us up not to coned first, but played good counter attacking football with a clear pattern..

I know you don't know much about actual football, but we are playing more defensive than ever...the back line sits on the 18 yard box and the midfield sit just in front of it...there are no attacking runners...not even one player left up at corners...hoof it to Joelinton and see what he can do on his own football..

We are only 3 points of bottom ...

Here's an idea...stop bothering everyone with your make believe scenarios and come back if Bruce actually fixes anything..

You are boring in the extreme.

He's talking sh!te. Ignore him. He goes against the grain to wind us up. We all know there's no prospect in the Ashley-Bruce situation and of course he needs to claim there is.

    Indeed very boring.

Yeah, I know. If we all started liking Bruce then he would have a problem with him...and around and around we go...

As for Bruce...I've been reading his comments about us not opening up against teams otherwise we'll be overrun....ffs, if he thinks the way we played in the first half against Brighton was us opening up???

I know some of Rafa's football was, at times, too negative and awful to watch but only at times and then often because his hands were tied by the players available but at other times we passed it slickly and our counter attacks were exciting, effective and, importantly, entertaining.

I'd be very surprised if Bruce ever produces any entertaining football while he's here even if it's sometimes 'effective' (e.g.Spurs away).

I think the players are going to get increasingly pissed off and are going to stop playing for him eventually. We've already had Schar in the media saying we were shit (his words!) and players on the pitch coming over to the dugout and saying 'what's this position meant to be (Schar) and 'this isn't working' (Hayden). Mind, when even the manager says of his own tactical plans (he admitted it was his mistake not Willems') 'what the fuck is going on' then you know you've got problems.

100% agree with your comments Zip it seems as though supposedly professional footballers don’t know where their playing or what their supposed to be doing

This is all down to the head coach and his team, for a player to approach the dugout and state that the system is not working is bizarre to say the least.

Bruce is a likeable bloke but I think he is well out of his depth in this job. He has never managed or coached expensive players and I don’t think he will get the best out of them

The major problem is he was apparently 11th choice so who in their right mind would take the job on. I guess we’re stuck with Bruce until he walks or is sacked by Ashley.
