What is this obsession some seem to have about Lamy? Has anyone seen him play? Would he improve the team if he came on?
I'm sure he'll get his chance when Warne thinks he's ready. Don't be surprised if that's in the Mickey Mouse cup on Tuesday so he can have a relatively steady introduction to first team football.

Can you imagine the remarks on social media if he fetched him on and he was crap ! my opinion is he’s not ready for first team football, by all means play him in the Cup competition next week, it could be his first step on the ladder and a chance to impress.

First three goals were brilliantly executed.
Smudge wins ball for first one, a high quality cross and a perfect centre forwards finish from Crookes. Firm downward header left Marosi on his arris in the back of his own net.
Smudge,s two pens with accuracy and power. Unstoppable.
We deserved more goals and Cov couldnt have complained if it was 6-0 7-0

That's exactly how I saw it Mike and actually said to my son that we had crookes playing in the David Ball roll early in the game.
Right first things first, Coventry have a way of playing that ,like today .can go calamitously wrong, but isn't necessarily the wrong way to play.
I actually admired how they always tried to play it out from the back, but when that style goes wrong it goes massively wrong ,as it did today.
Unfortunarely for Coventry they came up against a team that always try to close you down, so when they tried to play it out, they were always under the cosh and regularly made mistakes and lost the ball. When we played Tranmere and Shrewsbury, they both parked the bus and looked for a long ball out of defence, thus not giving the ball away in their own last third.
Even for us winning 4-0 and yes it could have been more, but they got in behind more than a few times and really should have scored at least once.
However, it's a great performance and for me full credit to the manager for not only changing the personell but changing the shape of the team to combat a team in great form, and whatever the Coventry supporters think of today, they will be fine this season and most certainly should be top 10.

Played like a cup-tie. There's only two relegation places realistically, so why the fear of playing to win?
Excellent link up play and movement. Yes, there were defensive errors, but players have to be on the spot to punish them. Hard to pick a man of the match, Lyndsay for me
Have a soft spot for Coventry, so was really disappointed at how embarrassing some of their fans were. Still the big club mentality, sadly. A group of morons walked up behind us , chanting the P***o ditty. Unbelievably, one of them a girl, about the same age of the victims. She was hauled out by the Police, and will have to explain to her family why see may have to appear at Magistrates court to answer a hate crime charge. Honestly one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Silly girl.☹️.

Don't get carried away, we'll not see a worse defensive performance than that again all season.

    Thoroughly enjoyable day today.

Credit to Warney having the courage to drop our record signing. Hopefully that will be the push Freddie needs to come back fighting.
Excellent from Smudge and Crookes. The change of formation probably helped them but I think it was more that they performed better individually than they have been doing.
very good performances all over the pitch today.

There was the odd mistake and some wasted opportunities but it would be very harsh to criticise the lads today, especially against a team unbeaten in their first 10 games of the season. We're not likely to ever see a perfect display over 90 minutes from any team in this division.

    Dead chuffed tonight.

We forced them into errors though GF. The reason they were so bad was that we didn,t give them an inch from the first whistle.
Goals two, three and four were all down to us pressing and forcing errors and rash challenges.
Excellent tactics by PW who set us up to combat Cov,s style and he clearly does have a plan B

I've been on the Coventry forum and not one supporter said that we were a good team. Apparently their defeat came because of our good fortune and their poor play, and even comments before the match were that they fully expected to win this game, or at the very least not lose it, totally ignorin the fact that we have played in the championship for 4 seasons in the last 5 whereas they, as well supported as they are, have struggled for obvious reasons.
We played on their weaknesses today, and that was totally down to Paul Warne and his team doing their job and getting our tactics right.
Maybe Coventry should show some humility in defeat and accept that smaller supported teams sometimes have better players, and are the better team.

Definitely the better team and an improvement on recent performances but all 4 goals were down to defensive errors and our weaknesses were still evident, poor passing, giving the ball away too much, making the wrong choices, and some poor finishing as well.

Need a couple more games to see if there has been a big improvement IMO.
