Good post sinkov, well thought out and eloquently written.

Problem is we are playing against EPL coaching staff and managers. Roy Hodgson skinned us alive on Saturday, simply because he knew how to nullify Barnes and Wood.

Just what my mate who goes on every game said BT, Roy had us worked out and won the tactical battle with Dyche hands down. But this will happen, Dyche is up against some of the best managers in world football, Roy has been one of them, and most of them have better players and thus more options. Maybe we need to buy some more options when we get the chance in January ?

There is No amusement supporting Burnley at the moment Norder (as well you know).

I do laugh at the overall scheme of it - Alto.....as for Burnley - seeing what they've been reduced to, where the games gone - well, I know a few of my side, that'll be vomiting on their harps.

Yes its good having different opinions, IMO I'm with Darkness, we set up before K.O. with no intent, we began the game with No intent and we finished with no intent.

....it was obvious we did not want to try and win the game at any point, and its also fine for folk to say we would have lost anyway because they are a Billionaire Club with talent, but we will never know now will we, but we've competed with the top Clubs before and got better results, yet had obviously surrendered in training the day before this one, which is sad and unfair for Claret fans.

"but we will never know now,,,will we"...thats Interesting Alto - we won't, which made me Think.....IF MC win the PL.....what teams "didn't perform" to the best of their ability, and what points were gained because of it - and same applies to Liverpool or other....Or, if we go to the lower end - what teams were relegated because others upped their game for them - but not the nearby others.......oops - am laughing again !

I watched the stands thiinning BT....very bleak looking.
Was once uncomplicated - convivial fun, kicking a ball around, thats all....now, its been raised to some unreal level - unnecessarily complicated....built around golden calf players - pedestals for the heroic deeds of managers.....silly money, big business and betting conglomerates -in reality, its ugly, a rejection of the game - an overblown show of fake importance - but we're led to believe, its a good thing - thats the sting.... .

what does that even mean - Army...."a proper go" - dont we (gentlemen) expect Burnley to give it a "proper go" in every game we play...so what are you saying - it's Man City - just turn up and right it off ?.....not for me, thats not how any team should operate - especially one sat mid table in the Premier League, a position, were often reminded - that reflects the Burnley fortitude, and genius of our manager.....but not last night, and going by somes satisfied acceptance of that display -they can't mind us being reassessed as - The Cowering Sychophants.

No Norder never played a game like that in my life but you have to accept if we go normal two up top and leave the midfield which was depleted anyway we could have a got a right hiding.
We so missed Westwood but in truth sometimes our manager gets out thought , they had and kept width with world class players we were overrun and in reality not good enough, I know we compete every week in the same league as them but we’re no where near them.

I’m a realist I’m afraid I didn’t expect us to get anything and if any of you did your deluded our absolute best hope was they had a shocker and missed 20 of there 21 chances for example and we sneaked a mistake like we did.

I think we are laboured in our play and style and we just got caught out by a class act who can punish you in a second.

We haven’t got the pace to do that , you should manage us Dave I think we’re missing a trick here , as easy as that against hundreds of millions of pound footballers with skill pace and a tactical genius of a manager.

I voted with my feet two years ago BT, I get much more enjoyment watching football 8 levels down. ST sales are still holding up though, but for how long ?

I believe we did....but just imagine, City had been off the boil for some time, their support knew it - I knew it, and many others knew it also - So then , without our "assistance"....what then might the score have been ?

Problem is Norder that I sit and talk to people every week who are now of the opinion we deserve - should be beating - competing with teams such as City( my own father included sometimes). , I’m going to stick with staying a realist and say we’re not.at this moment in time.
I’ve said I think we could have done slightly better with a full compliment of players but I’m still honest enough to know they are a different league to us.
