January signings - given recent form

I Said winger not wide midfielders. None of our players are out and out wingers.

I thought David Ajiboye looked dangerous down the wing for Sutton vs us. They class him as a forward but looks more like a flying winger to me. Also scored 16 goals for Worthing last season as well.

Looked well off the pace for me this season. Not made any impact. Don't think he was Ardley's preferred choice.

Speaking of Wootton, anyone know if Scunny can recall him in Jan?

I don't know the details but would be astonished if S****horpe don't have the ability to recall Wootton.

"Swann said they would listen to offers for players and one of those attracting a bit of interest is Kyle Wootton who is currently on loan at Notts County, where he has scored 12 goals.

“We have had a lot of interest in Kyle,” Swann said. “I don’t think there is any point in bringing them back into the fold unless something happened and we needed to consider them.”

I hope Notts have a contingency plan as given his form there has to be a distinct possibility of him being recalled and he would be a major loss up front. For me this is the absolute priority this window, and even if he does stay having a back up player in a similar mould would be an important addition.

My thoughts exactly. Whether the owners have the financial clout or not is another question. It is a worry that we could potentially see Scunny send him off to a league club for the rest of the season, very much like Yates, albeit that was the players choice in the end.

Some very interesting and measured points.

Try to secure Woottons' services and a central midfielder seems to be the majority verdict.
If resources allow, these signings would be great.

Ideally, Notts County should secure promotion this year, but perhaps more importantly, the team should be "oven ready" for next season and only need to make a very small number of signings before the 20/21 season.
